[Any response Guy might have had when the door opens is instantly caught in his throat at the sight of the creature right behind Lloyd. The familiar red of the jacket doesn't even register. Could Lloyd not see it...? Why wasn't he running?? Was it just the lack of sleep starting to work at his mind, or--
No, no, it seems too real. Guy's eyes widen and he backs up a step, hand instinctively shooting for his hip to where his sword would usually rest.
His hand hasn't even made it to its target before there's a sudden cry of pain, in Luke's voice, seemingly coming from inside the hallway itself.]
"Guy...! Guy - s-stop, what are you doing..?!"
[The scent of blood is suddenly very strong.
The blonde freezes, a grimace flickering across his face. His fear is still as vivid now as it was the first day - although a handful of people had witnessed it, he'd refused to speak about it. Despite that, though, it had only taken the first night to realize that, as unsettling as it was, it wasn't real. It wasn't, it logically was impossible. Just a replay of a nightmare and nothing more. He knew Luke was curled up in the apartment. He knew that he wouldn't hurt him.
At least, not on purpose.

So if that wasn't real, then maybe this wasn't real, either. Maybe this thing - tall and bulbous, arms still pushing towards him but not actually harming him - was only a figment of someone's imagination. Lloyd or his roommate, or even someone else in the hall, maybe.
Guy keeps that tentative step back, but he lets his back straighten, swallowing dryly.]
...Sorry. We've been hearing commotion over here the last couple nights, so-- [His eyes flicker up to the monster for a second.] --just... wanted to be sure you were both alright.
