[If anything, Denzel was looking forward to from possibly learning from Zelda's magic. In which Crocker had a few more items on his desk, not for the lesson at hand but for her. Today, Alex, his chocobo, decided to accompany Denzel to school today. Waiting for Zelda, as well as maybe other possible people, he writes on the board;

TODAY'S LESSON

GENERAL THEORY OF RELATIVITY]

[Don't mind Shirley coming in and checking in on this academy thing.

What is this general theory of relativity you speak of?]

[The princess shows up promptly with her notebook and pen, dressed modestly in what you were supposed to wear to school, as far as she could tell at least. She sits towards the front of the room without saying much of anything.]

[Denzel flips out, as he turns around and spots someone being quiet there]

Hello... [Fixing his glasses]

You're a new face.. Do you have a name?

Hello [Zelda gets a bit of a smirk] Was wondering about you.

[Beat] Is there a dress code all of a sudden? [Stating as he fixes his tie but then Denzel taught for a public school. Where there are no uniforms. It was besides the point how he always was dressed spiffy.]

Is this not how one is expected to dress for an academy?

[Zelda, sweetie, people don't do that much anymore. It's practically fetish wear.]

....Yes? [Replying rather unsure but hey, that's what happens when you teach 5th graders for twenty - three years. Giving an approving frown] It suits you.

[There's a chocobo sitting in the desk next to you Zelda. Crocker eyes around]

Suppose I'll begin - Zelda, his is Alex. [Referring to the chocobo who seems rather pokey]

[Being from a world where humans (and those that look like them) are not the only intelligent beings, she just smiles and waves at the chocobo like it's perfectly natural for a bird to attend school before looking back to the front of the classroom.]

[Denzel loud whispers to Zelda] Might want to be careful. He's a little inquisitive and not afraid.

[His voice returns to normal pitch and walks over to the board]

I'll be your teacher, this afternoon, Mr. Denzel Crocker!

Now, who here knows what - GRAVITY! Is?

[Unsure if she's supposed to just speak up or simply indicate that she knows so that he can carry on, Zelda nods in response to the question. She's well aware of gravity!]

[huh, he kind of reminds her of Will]

Um, yes, my name is Shirley!

I'm afraid that this is my first time attending this academy so... I'm not sure what the general theory of relativity is.

Well, Miss Shirley, I'll be your teacher, Mr. Denzel Crocker.

[Beat] Thought you didn't look familiar. [Denzel makes a face. He wasn't use to having a new face every other class and not have the rest show up]

You're in luck, I supppose. That's what today's topic will be.

What do you know about gravitiy?

...You're oddly quiet. You can speak up you know. Anyways, the law of graviity, went unchallenged, at least in my universe, until Albert Einstein came along. Now, Einstein came up with his famous equation E = MC - SQUARE!

[Denzel speaks as he writes that on the board. Before glancing back to Zelda to see if she was following along]

Um...

[Now she was starting to feel like she was in school now. What she learned about gravity has changed just a bit over the years but...]

Well, it's what keeps everything in place isn't it? There's pressure whenever you're in air and eventually it keeps you on the ground.

I am not the teacher here, am I? It seems inappropriate...

[She copies down the equation. Oh, advanced math! She hadn't gotten nearly as far as she would have wanted to since her tutoring stopped when she was so young.]

[Denzel leans on Zelda's desk with both of his hands and leans forward]

If you don't at least try to answer my questions, I'm afraid I'm going to have to give you an - F!

An F?

[She's not familiar with the grading scale here.]

What exactly is an F?

That's a satisfactory answer - YES!

[Picks up a red marker and lets that drop to the ground]

The common belief is that, that marker was pulled to the ground.

However, with the idea of - GENERAL THEORY OF RELATIVITY! [Slight spazz] It's believed that same marker was pushed to the ground.

[Denzel has a hand on his forehead. He was getting a headache and wondering if he had the patience to teach multiverse people. He sighs] It's part of the grading scale in my universe [He goes up to the board and writing, A = Excellent, B = Above Average, C = Average, D =Below Average, F = FAIL! Which he also spoke as he wrote on the board. There's a pause.]

I need to you speak out of term, if we're going to progress anywhere... Afte all, it's not like I have ESP!

Ah, what do you mean by that? [She remembered learning about this back in her village too but...lololol her people thought it was Orerines propaganda]

[Is this more of a discussion course than a lecture, then? Alright, she can do that.]

I see. Very well, then. I believe I've read that equation somewhere before - it's talking about mass-energy equivalence, yes?

EXACTLY! [Denzel spazzes and falls] Ow. [He sits on the floor for a moment or two rubbing his butt. His face twisted in pain.]

Before hand, scientists [tch] believed that mass and energy where two seperate things.

And the 'c squared' which is the squared speed of light. Which is 10,000,000,000,000,000 Joules.... Which is you dropping your book 10 billion times combined.

[Crocker rolls to his feet. He moves sorta slow, as if he's a bit old.]

Nothing, I repeat - NOTHING is faster then the speed of light. Now, how does this work into the general theory of relativity, you might ask...

[Finally gets himself to his feet]

Are you certain nothing is faster? I read that the sound barrier has been broken. Surely there's something out there.

[Zelda tries to not believe too much in absolutes if she can help it.]

Yes, the sound barrier has been broken, October 14th, 1947 by George Welch. [Beat] If something where faster then the speed of light then that would change EVERYTHING in this theory. For you see... Einstein proved his Theory of General Relativity because of light.

[Beat and to himself] I don't even think those fairies back home can beat the speed of light. I think they are the equivalent to the speed of light but that's besides the point, yes.

There's that and E = MC2, means that mass and energy are - ONE! And if you where to measure both of those out... Let's just say it's mathematically improbable to go beyond the speed of light, shall we?

Magically even. Even magic is energy and any energy has limitations.

[In which Crocker meant with them poofing around]

I believe it is just as improbable to say "never". There is much in this universe we do not know, after all. What seems impossible today could be commonplace in a hundred years.

[He did tell her to speak freely. For Zelda, this means debating.]

There has to be some constants in the universe, Zelda. [He mumbles] Another of which is the periodic table of - ELEMENTS! Outside of magic, you shouldn't be finding anything else on that chart. It's besides the point magic should be on that chart in the first place, yes.

You have to first understand that space is CURVED! And what keeps the planets orbiting in their aligment is the curvage of space.

[He then writes E = MC2 on the board] Have you see this before?

I can't say I have but I do agree that the space is curved...

After all, we can't really see space so I don't see why it shouldn't.

[Zelda peers at the chart. Crocker, it's missing some pretty vital things. Where's orichalcum? Where's adamantium?! Zelda just keeps her mouth shut this time, nodding obediently.]
