[ Today was a momentous day. At least, in Lyra’s eyes it was. Today would be the day she and Cheren meet up, and she would have her first Pokémon battle since arriving in Vatheon. That was a pretty big deal, and since it was her first, it had better be a good one.

They’d decided on the forest as their stadium; it was large, open, and out of the way, and (hopefully) no one would care too much if it got a little destroyed in the process. Lyra arrives a little early, because she’s just that excited, her Croconaw at her side. ]

Helloooo? Cheren? Are you here yet, or is it just me?

[While Cheren was in the habit of arriving to scheduled appointments slightly early, it seemed Lyra had arrived to their battleground before he did. It does make him frown a bit (he’s used to being the early one, okay), but in actuality, he didn’t really mind it. Better to have your opponent be early than late, after all, and with how used he was to dealing with chronically late people such as Bianca, it was a bit of a refreshing change.

Putting Unfezant back in his Pokeball (because walking to the forest is for uncool people, and he doesn’t want to just walk up there and reveal his Pokemon right off the bat), Cheren walks over to the clearing they’d decided upon about the same time as Lyra finished calling out to see if he was around.]

Sorry, I wasn’t expecting you to be here this early. Shall we get started, then?

[FOR ONCE IN HIS LIFE he has won against a Pokemon Protag. It's really the proudest moment in his life, okay. But it's not like this was an easy battle. If Lyra was anything to go by, the Trainers in Johto were just as tough as those back home in Unova. Having tough Trainers to practice against here is a good thing, okay. Which is why if you look very, very closely, he's smiling faintly as he recalls Unfezant.]

Impressive. Are all Pokemon from Johto that strong?

Well, if you want a training partner, I'd be willing to train with you. I have a few other Pokemon I got as eggs here in Vatheon that need to be trained more before I can use them in battle. [because as much as he liked using them, it's kind of hard to keep training his newer Pokemon against his older, higher-leveled ones.]

I'd like to visit Johto sometime because of that. Is it really that simple to visit Kanto? [since he's used to being far away from other regions, oops]

I've been training my Pokemon with each other, Bianca, and another person that obtained a Pokemon here in Vatheon, but has since left. Training with other people would be a very nice change. We could see if Dawn wanted to join, as well. [he can't imagine living without Pokemon, either, but that's pretty obvious to figure out, he'd assume.]

Most people use the train, I'm guessing?
