Riven had merely thought it another summoning at first, but she soon realized the error in that. If this place being wholly unfamiliar to her was not enough, there was also the distinct lack of a Summoner's magic guiding her every move. But, this was not Summoner's Rift, the Twisted Treeline, the Crystal Scar, or even Murder Bridge. This wasn't any place she recognized in all of Valoran.
And then, for a long while, Riven stared up at the dome around the city and the ocean beyond. That would explain why I do not recognize this place, she thought to herself, as wide red eyes watched the movement of the water above. She'd never been anywhere underwater in Valoran before. Not to mention, it explained why she was soaking wet.
Deciding after some time that standing around wouldn't get her much of anywhere, she gripped the hilt of her sword tight and began to wander. Thankfully, this sort of aimless business wasn't unfamiliar to her. She could take some comfort in the fact that having no idea where to go was something she knew very well.
With the idea in mind to find someone else, and hoping that there would be a someone else, Riven set off to search Vatheon.

When he's within speaking distance, he talks in a calm and even voice.]
Would you like a guide?
[Unfortunately, he doesn't have a towel for Riven to dry off with; being soaking wet isn't something that bothers him, so it doesn't occur to him to offer.]

Her response is given in a voice just as calm and even as Serph's own.]
What is this place?
[That's fine. Being wet is mostly a secondary concern right now anyway. She hasn't even noticed the starfish tucked into her belt.]

[Serph pulls out a folded up brochure containing useful information about Vatheon out from his pocket and holds it out for the stranger to take.]
This contains basic information.
[He's not one for exposition; why talk a lot when he has a piece of paper explaining most things?]

"Hi," she started. "I guess you're new here?"

"Yes," and a small pause, as she thinks about what she said. "Where is here?"

That was a delicate bit, of course. Even after a week, it was hard to believe. First things first worked better, she thought.
"But first, would you like to change your clothes? It can't be comfortable dressed up like that."
