[It's been an interesting week for Chibi, so far! Waking up from a long sleep, meeting new friends, not to mention all these inconveniences everyone keeps going on about! Everything from power outages to suddenly not being able to understand one another (welcome to his world, hmph!), and even just minor things like spilling lemonade on that papercut you just got or tripping on tree branches you swear weren't there a second ago.

Fortunately, being as non-reliant on technology as he is, Chibi has been able to avoid the worst of the troubles people are having. He noticed he's been a bit clumsier than usual... but otherwise, he hasn't encountered any inconvenience he couldn't handle!

But just to be safe, he's been sticking to the more natural parts of Vatheon. Today finds him in the park, rolling around in a patch of tall grass.]

[ Sometimes being cooped up in an apartment is too much for Dawn to handle too. And, well, with all of the mishaps... she needed some fresh air. Badly. So of course, she decided to head to the park where Chibiterasu happens to be.

Of course, he attracts her attention right away because well, in her world, small fluffy creatures are always pokemon. But didn't Cheren say that there was no pokemon here? To be sure, Dawn flips open her Pokedex to see...

... And somehow, an incomplete entry is pulled up! Dawn's in shock for a second, but it doesn't take long for old habits to kick in. ]

Let's go, Kricketune.

[For a moment, Chibi briefly wonders if this stranger has sent out a new friend for him to play with. He's made lots of friends with people via their pets, after all! However, the air around this girl seems... different. She looks determined, and so does that bug creature she directed toward him. Well, if it's a fight she wants, he says bring it on!

He stands up and prepares to move at a moment's notice, watching Kricketune closely and waiting to see if maybe he misjudged the situation.]

[ Dawn stands with Kricketune, ready to issue a command. ]

Kricketune, use X-Scissor.

[ Kricketune comes at Chibi, using his arm as blades to attack him. ]

[Chibi leaps forward, switching out his mirror for the sword and directly blocking the attack! He follows up by painting the symbol for Galestorm, hoping the strong winds will push back his foe and create an opening to attack.]

[ Not only had Dawn never seen a pokemon like Chibi before, she's never even seen those moves before. A pokemon that paints is a little like Smergle, but the use of the paintbrush is completely different. Consider Dawn and her pokemon to be totally baffled as her Kricketune is subject to the strong winds.

It's pushed back a couple of feet, but before Chibi can get another move in, Dawn decides a switch is in order. ]

Gastrodon, your turn.

[ Cue an oversized blue sea slug. Your turn first, Chibi. ]

[Oooh, this one looks kind of cool! But also maybe a little slow, or at least he hopes it's slow. No need for fancy moves here! Chibi simply charges in, aiming to slash it with his sword.]

Use surf!

[ Suddenly, a torrent of water comes splashing in towards Chibi. It's Chibi's sword verses Gastrodon's Surf! ]

[Unfortunately for him, Chibi is by no means a swimmer! The torrent sends him tumbling backwards, and he lands in a washed up (but not KO'd!) heap a few feet away.]

[ Without an hp bar, it's hard to tell, but Dawn tosses an ultra ball at Chibi anyway. This may be her last and only chance to catch him... whatever he is. ]

[Chibi peeks up over his stomach and, seeing the projectile flying towards him, targets it with his Powerslash brush technique to send the ultra ball flying back toward Gastrodon!]

[ A stunned Gastrodon gets hit in the face with Dawn's ultra ball. Dawn would comfort her pokemon, but right now she's too confused. Should a pokemon be able to attack a pokeball? Not unless it has a trainer...

Dawn looks around for said trainer, but there's no one else around. Just her, her Gastrodon, and this strange puppy-like pokemon with a brush. ]

Uh... Do you have a trainer?

[ Maybe trying to ask it will help, she's got no idea at this point. ]

[Chibi takes the time she's looking around to pick himself up and move back a bit, still on the defensive despite the fact that she hasn't ordered any new attacks.

At her question, he shakes his head, looking proud. Nobody, but nobody, owns this pup!]

[ Still confused, Dawn scratches behind her head and asks another question. ]

Do you really not want to be caught that badly? I'm not a bad trainer, and I treat my pokemon well.

[He's about to issue another challenging bark, but that last word catches him off guard.

What's a pokemon?]

... How could you not know what a pokemon is? See, it's you!

[ She holds up her pokedex which is still showing it's glitched dex entry. ]

Rrr? [That certainly is a picture of him! He can't read the rest of it, lacking the ability to and all, but her device is without a doubt reading him as... whatever a pokemon is.

...Maybe he is a pokemon...]

It's okay if you don't want to be caught, but I've never heard of a pokemon batting a ball away like that. How'd you do that?

[At that question he grins proudly, tail wagging back and forth.

Obviously it's because he's too cool for your weird ball thing!]
