Your stalker showing up is the best way to ruin a date
Who: A Sparklepire, a shadow, and a demon (aka Johnny, Sola, and Ghirahim)
Where: A private little cafe off the plaza, tucked away down a side street
When: Late morning/early afternoon on the 12th
Style: Action
Status: Closed
[So this is a date.
The concept is still a foreign one. Sure there have been examples he's seen on tv in the programs his Trolldads watch but he's come to realize that tv is definitely not a lot like real life and this seems a lot more enjoyable than the fiascos in sitcoms.
A lot more enjoyable.
Johnny'd basically just spontaneously swept him off for a meal in this private little place he'd found and Sola loves the atmosphere. Plants hanging from baskets in the ceiling, bread sticks galore (his current food exploration is all about the carbs right now), and of course the company makes it all the better.
Despite any lingering doubts brought on by awkward conversations, despite anything else going on in the backgroundlike creepy stalkers in his window at night, Sola's never been happier.
Bubbling over with all those warm and fuzzy feelings, Sola finishes his tale of moving from Larmline to Coral Corral.]
- so Psii totally made unpacking really fast since he can just move stuff around with his brain. I wish I could do that, it would be really cool and useful!

And he felt happy. Honestly happy. It was...strange but nice, definitely a feeling he could get used to.]
Aaah~ Telekinesis is a very useful skill~
[To be honest, he was perfectly content to just listen to whatever Sola wanted to talk about.]
no subject
Can you do that? I know you can do all sorts of cool things. I can't do anything neat like that besides get all shadowy.
[And then only when he's angry or exceedingly upset so he doesn't really count it as much of a power.]
no subject
[He puts his chin in his hand, curiosity on his face.]
Shadowy?
no subject
[Obviously that's incredibly cool because Sola looks beyond delighted. He's always wanted to fly. Sometimes he even has dreams about it, soaring in the clouds on giant cuccos or wings of his own. It's different from his nightmares of falling; in these dreams he knows he'll always be caught, always be safe.
Not like it's collective Hylian racial memory or anything.]Oh, um, I get all black and I dunno what else.
[Really it's not like he's ever watched himself do that.]
It's lame though! Tell me about flying.
no subject
Nothing about you is lame, but if that's what you want.
I turn into a swarm of bats, I can carry people that way too.
no subject
[He tries not to look disappointed.]
Well I knew that! I just thought you meant fly like by yourself. The keese or bats or whatever are really neat though. What does that even feel like, to be a bunch of things at once instead of just you?
no subject
It's....strange. Like being pulled a thousand directions at once, but it doesn't hurt.
no subject
Ghirahim kept watch from a distance, staying out of sight of the two. He knew that Sola could sense him...and that was probably what made this the most fun.*
no subject
Who the heck would date a bokoblin?]That would be fun, as long as it doesn't.. hurt...
[Sola glances around uneasily as he begins to get that sense that he's being watched again. He flicks his ears nervously, losing much of his appetite despite half his lunch still sitting uneaten on his plate.]
...I think maybe we should go...
no subject
His expression turned to one of confusion and worry.]
Sola? What's wrong?
no subject
Hi.*
I can't imagine what might be distressing my...little brother. He's been so uneasy of late.
no subject
Stands there. Ears back in distress. He doesn't know if he wants to place himself between Ghirahim and Johnny in a protective gesture or if he simply wants to grab the vampire's arm and run out of there as fast as possible, somehow get to safety. But nowhere is safe. He'd moved and Ghirahim had still shown up at his bedroom window as if he'd known all along where Sola was.
The replica braces his hands on the table to keep them from shaking.]
I told you no already! Why won't you leave me alone?!
Johnny, let's get out of here...
no subject
He stood and moved himself so he was between Sola and the strange person, clearly, upsetting his loved one.]
Who are you? What do you want?
no subject
I suppose I'll begin the introductions, then. I am Lord Ghirahim. Sola and I are both servants of the same master, in each our own ways.
no subject
[Voice raising in strain, Sola grabs for Johnny's arm and tries to tug him away, just desperately wanting to be anywhere but here.]
no subject
Come on, Sola, let's go.
[He turned, intending to walk away from this Girahim person.]
Don't follow us, this conversation's done.
no subject
You know you were meant to wield me, Sola. You can't deny what you are. Or what I am.
no subject
He wants to be a person, he wants a life, an identity of his own, as Sola, as Johnny's matesprit, as Link's brother. How can he do that with Ghirahim speaking to him as if his entire life is a lie? It makes him feel like he shouldn't try, like he's a doll wearing ill fitting clothes.
His voice is low, no longer screaming, just tense and downtrod as he attempts to leave the cafe with Johnny.]
Just shut up and go away...
no subject
He moved so that Sola could still have a grip on his arm while Johnny wrapped it around the Hylian's shoulders, urging him to ignore Girahim.
...if the guy didn't lay off or tired to follow them, though, Johnny didn't think he'd be able to wait for that 'talk.']
no subject
You haven't told him about our little meeting last night, have you Sola?
no subject
Shut up! Stoppit! Just leave me alone! I hate you! I don't want you and I'm never going to change my mind so stay away from me!
[There's fear in his voice, real fear, and yet something behind it as well. Some longing, that small spark of want for that raw power that Ghirahim had shown him. The things he could do with that sword...]
no subject
He pushed Sola behind him, glaring daggers at Girahim. When he spoke his tone was low and dangerous.]
Leave him alone. Now. Last warning.
no subject
no subject
Go away! Everyone just stop! I don't want this!
But Ghirahim is right, Sola knows the kind of power he has and if he uses that against Johnny, if he hurts Johnny...!
Suddenly darkening, Sola draws his sword in one fluid motion, darting forward past Johnny to vault the table and swing wildly at the demon. There's very little method or skill behind his strike, just pure frenzied adrenaline.]
no subject
[ Johnny drew his sword, seemingly, from thin air and held it tip-up prepared to make this a fight.
He was about to tell Sola to get somewhere safe when he saw the flash of grey darting past him. He reached for the Hylian but couldn't grab him in time.]
Sola, don't-!
no subject
He catches the sword finally, smirking at Sola.*
I do remember telling you that that sword is nothing more than a pale imitation of me.
*Ghirahim yanks the shadow closer by his sword, close enough that Sola can feel the demon's breath on his face as he exhales.*
You have too much energy. You should sit down and calm yourself.
*he clapped his free hand on Sola's shoulder and focused, attempting to siphon some of that delicious power that was so much like his master's into himself. Sola clearly had enough to spare.*
no subject
It doesn't hurt. That's the most distressing thing is it doesn't hurt, but it feels like slipping away, like when he lay dying on the floor of the Water Temple. With a sudden, brief surge of panic Sola manages to shove himself away with a cry and stagger back, his sword left in Ghirahim's hand and complexion pale.]
no subject
He had no interest in killing the guy...not yet, anyway, he just needed to get him away from Sola.]
You bastard! I said leave him alone!
no subject
He sees Johnny's blow coming, obvious as it is, and uses Sola's sword to parry it.*
He attacked me. I defended myself. He'll sleep very well tonight, but other than that I have not harmed him.
*Ghirahim licks his lips as he casts the shadowy sword aside and with a snap of his fingers, summons his own.*
You think you know everything we are? You know nothing. Sola is denying what he is, and denying the blade he was meant for. Denying me a new master. *he points the tip of his rapier at Johnny's chest.* And that has a tendency to make me very, very dangerous.
no subject
Is that supposed to be a threat, child?
You're fooling yourself if you think you scare me; I won't let you hurt someone I care about.
no subject
no subject
[He took a step back and brought his blade up in a defensive stance.]
I f you won't leave him alone, I won't hesitate to cut you down.
no subject
He wants to reach a hand out, try to stop them, try to keep Ghirahim from hurting Johnny. He's afraid that's what will happen. He knows Johnny is strong, it's not a matter of faith in his matesprit's abilities but instead a knowledge of his master's. If Ghirahim was truly made from the same stock as Sola and knows how to use it, he's a force to be reckoned with.
This is so stupid. Failing to protect himself, to protect Johnny... Sola attempts to raise an arm, reaching for the dark and light figures in front of him slowly fading back into focus, his voice so weak it likely cannot be heard over the din of the two combatants' banter.]
Stop...
no subject
It's obvious you have no idea what you're talking about. Do you really think it's as simple as that? We're not human, and we never were. We're not bound by the same ideals.
You should know that yourself, am I right?
no subject
It doesn't matter what you or he are, I don't care, he's still a person and an individual, not a tool. Not some cog in a bigger machine, and I won't let you treat him like he is. Just back off!
Go ahead until they actually clash, then he'll speak again
no subject
no subject
Bullshit. Don't blame deities for the fact you're too weak to break away and do what you want.
no subject
"Weak", am I? I'll show you "weak"...
