Henry had offered to be his guide, so his guide he shall be. It's not like he was much of an expert, having only been on this island bubble thing for a couple of months or so, but he was a quick learner, and quite resourceful if he felt like being so. The southern gentleman wasn't annoying to deal with, so he didn't feel too wary about him, but he always had his doubts about people. It's always the most unassuming ones sometimes.
He was always on time, and he stares at his watch around his wrist, tapping his foot. Grit isn't necessarily late, but Henry tends to be a bit picky about punctuality.

When he arrived at the meeting location, he chuckled a bit, "Y'know, people usually do that when someone's actually late." He was five seconds, at the most. But his watch says he was right on top.
swagalicious
Henry looks up from his watch when he hears Grit's footsteps approach from a far, and only then does he stop counting. It's a bad habit he's formed since he was younger. It's not like people were usually late for his appointments after all.
"It's a bad habit, really," he replies with a pleasant smile, as per usual. "I just tend to show up early a good deal of the time."
SWAAAAAAAAG
He sighed, looking at Henry, "So how long did I keep ya waitin'?" Considering he was early? He had to be waiting a bit. "Cause if I knew you were gonna be early... I'd have told ya to wait."
no subject
"It's really of no importance," he replies casually, shrugging. "It was hardly anything at all."
Then with a slight gesture of his hand towards the city, he smiles. "Shall we?"
no subject
"'course. Just wanted to make sure." He shrugged his shoulders, and gave a smile back. "Yeah. Let's go. Keep us busy."
no subject
"I'm assuming you did not get the chance to look around at all besides your current place of residency?"
no subject
He chuckled a bit. This was good company.

They pass by a few nondescript shops of little importance, private or abandoned homes of the natives. Most of the natives pay them little mind, or give them polite nods, being so used to newcomers.
"Not much of an outdoors man?"
no subject
But that wasn't completely true. He nodded back to the natives and fixed up his hat. Nodding back to Henry.
"Somewhat. Was too much of one back home, happy to not be so much anymore."

They pass by a couple of important landmarks like the hospital, some open markets with vendors on the side, people out and about trying to sell their wares. It's obvious as to what they are so they simply pass by, having no problem with Grit asking questions whenever if he needed to. Henry just assumes Grit will have the sense to speak up if it need be.
"Sounds like being one was a bit of a chore for you, I assume?"
no subject
Grit takes notes of everything in his head. He doesn't have a lot of questions either but mainly because most things are self explanatory. Although he'd like to put on this big show about not being completely competent, if he asked too many, this man would think he was a complete moron. And he'd like to keep that to a minimum around a person like this.
"A bit... tha's puttin' it lightly."

Then Henry stops by a small market where a table of apples are on display. He shows the owner his mark and snags an apple, rubbing it on his shirt thoroughly before taking a bite. He chewed thoughtfully for a moment then swallowed before speaking.
"Now you've got me curious about what you used to do," he said. Then he gestured to the apple. "Oh, and that's how you acquire food and whatnot, just so you know."
no subject
So Grit is going to sneak behind him and grab another apple for himself, taking a nice big bite out of it. "Useful thing, this place." He nodded, and continued to munch on it. Licking his lips from the juice. Blinking at him.
"...Tell ya what. I'll tell ya the next time we meet up like this." He chuckled.
no subject
"Next time? Do you think you'll need another tour?" He grins, looking straight ahead, shoving his hands in his pockets.
no subject
"I think I might." He chuckled, lifting up his hat and brushing back his hair. "Maybe."
