[ It's hard living so far away from your matesprits. It's hard, and nobody understands. Well, actually, there are probably lots who understand, and it's not that far, and honestly Feferi doesn't mind the walk in the least. She hurries over, the route familiar to her by now, and when she reaches the front door of the communal hive she knows Sollux and Aradia to be sharing, she lets herself in. It's not as though her visit is unannounced. ]

Sollux! Aradia? I'm here!

[Sollux is sprawled out on the sofa, SFC in his hand, but he discards it when he sees her and grins]

Hey, fishgirl.

Well hello there, beeboy!

[ Making her way over to the couch, Feferi takes a seat on the arm, folding her hands in her lap. ]

Don't suppose much had changed in the last twenty minutes, has it?

Not really! [He sits up a little more and scoots over, slipping his arms around her waist and giving a squeeze] Everything okay?

[ What's that Sollux, you want a fishgirl in your lap? Feferi kindly obliges, slipping off the couch arm. ]

Yeah! Except I never got to talk to after you were... hanging out with me and Eridan.

[Fishgirls in laps are pretty awesome.] Oh right. [Turning yellow] Uh, so what did he say...?

[ She shakes her head, and puts on a pointedly formal air when she responds-- mostly teasing, though her meaning is otherwise sincere. ]

That's not my place to say. I let him tell me how he felt, and that's between moirails! If and when he's ready, if he decides he wants to net you in his black quadrant, he will say so himself!

[ And she can only keep that up for so long, before she breaks down into a fit of giggles. ]

I still don't know what you were all worried about!

Huh? [He squirms, feeling silly as she giggles at him. He really thought you were serious about not telling him what's between moirails, okay, Feferi??]

I'm worried about Vriska!

[ There's nothing secret about 'he'll ask you out if he wants to ask you out', sheesh! Picky boys.

She scrunches her face up in a mock scowl. ]

But you were all like, no Feferi, don't talk to him, glub glub glub! And Vriska had nothing to do with it! Are you worried she'll steal him away?

Oh that. I just... didn't want you to talk him into it, and then maybe he wouldn't really want me for me, but to please you! But you got me to kiss him, which could have done the same thing.

...only maybe I'm not a good enough kisser, what do you think? Is Vriska a better kisser than me?

[He's mostly joking, but he turns a mournful, hopeful look on Feferi.]

All I wanted to do was hear how he felt! I was kind of just joking when I said you two should kiss, I didn't think either of you would actually do it... and for a moment when I thought you were both really into it and okay with it, it was great! Because I just want to see you both happy. Or... well, you know!

[ She shrugs and puts her arms around his neck, leaning her head against his shoulder. ]

Anyway I felt bad, I didn't mean to put that on him when he wasn't ready. I have no idea if Vriska's a better kisser though, you want me to find out? Because I would be pretty okay with that.

Well, I wasn't going to back down from a challenge like that in front of my, uh, not-kismesis-yet. He'd have laughed at me!

[He cuddles her close, blinking]

Wait...what?

What do you mean, what?

[ To that, she just bats her eyelashes innocently. ]

...Please tell me you're black for Vriska?

No, silly! I am head over heels flushed for her, and can you blame me? She is so kind, and charming, and thoughtful...

[ Okay even she can't keep that up too long. She presses her face into his shoulder to suppress her laughter. ]

Of course I mean black! Or that's what I'm angling at anyway! I still don't know if I know what that feels like, but you gotta start somewhere.

[Wow. He has to think about that for a moment, but he cuddles her close, and grins]

Well I hope she returns your feelings! I couldn't hate you, but someone like Vriska? I bet she'd be great for you.

For real?

[ Feferi looks legitimately surprised, but in the best of ways. ]

Gosh, you would think she does! Ever since she moved in, I've tried being nice to her and she just shoves it in my face. I mean, it's okay though, I know how to get her good!

That's my girl!

[He doesn't know why she's so surprised, and he gives her a squeeze] Of course 'for real'. She's a bitch and you're amazing. You can give her what for.

When you're right, you're right! [ Sticking her neck out, she gives him a little kiss on the chin. ] ...hey, that was all the important stuff I had to say! Unless you had something?

I can't think of anything. [He laughs a little and gives her a kiss on the mouth instead] This whole romance thing is so confusing.

[ Though she kisses him back, when she sits back again, she looks a bit confused. ]

What? Confusing how? --you mean you and Eridan?

Mostly me and Eridan... [But not completely. He's still not completely sure he's doing this two-matesprits thing right]

[ Oh honey. ]

Are you sure there's nothing else you want to talk about?

You're not my moirail, fishgirl. [Though he wishes he did have one, sometimes. He smiles and kisses her, though, and gives her a squeeze] I'm fine, FF. I'm happy, which isn't something I'm used to.

I know I'm not your moirail, silly!

[ And she hugs him tight back, in return. ]

But if there's something about our relationship you want to talk about, we can. I know Aradia's not around right now, and I don't want to leave her out, but I think she'd agree it's better for you to get it off your chest! That's what I'd think, if I was the one who wasn't around.

[He shakes his head, smiling awkwardly. To him, it's not something he needs to talk about. It's just something he has to work at, and try hard not to screw up. He doubts there's anything Feferi can say that will reassure him.]

I've got nothing about our relationship to talk about, princess. If you and AA are happy, I'm happy.
