Who: Beryl Benito and Kohaku Hearts
When: Friday, May 25, 2012; Afternoonish
Where: Kohaku/Shing/Beryl's apartment
Style: Brackets? I'll follow whatever you want to do, but I'll start in Brackets ~
Status: Closed
[ Kohaku was really glad to have her friend here in Vatheon with her and Shing, but at the same time, things had been pretty obviously awkward since her arrival. Sure, she still cared a lot for Beryl; she would no matter what. However, since the discovery was made that Beryl had come from a time much earlier than she and Shing did, Kohaku had been taking it onto herself to be careful about what things she said around the other girl.
Now, she and Beryl were in the living room, hanging out on the couch while she introduced her to this thing she had discovered in Vatheon known as movies.
Everything seemed okay so far ... she was enjoying the movie, and she was hoping Beryl was as well. ]

The subject was never brought up again though, and Beryl herself didn't feel like starting a conversation about that, either. I'll find out one day anyway - that was what she thought, but no matter how many days passed she still knew just as much as she did earlier. She still never asked neither Shing nor Kohaku about it.
Right now she was also enjoying the movie with Kohaku, at the same time she looked clearly amazed by the said movie. They did not have thing like this back home after all.]
This is something... I wonder how they made it?

[ It was an action movie, with lots of explosions and special effects. She'd gotten a few of these at one of the shops in the Plaza, and she had thought it'd be a fun idea to view them with Beryl. As she'd thought, Beryl was really intrigued by them as well. ]

[that's right... Kohaku has been here for so long. She definitely made a lot of friends...]

[ And then she sees the look on Beryl's face and offers her a bit of a sheepish smile. ]
... she'd probably know. We could go ask her together? I'll introduce you! I think Yukari would like having another friend!
[ It was true. When Kohaku had arrived here, she was pretty much on her own, and she made friends fairly quickly ... even some friends who were pretty much like family to her now. Kohaku didn't want to leave Beryl out, regardless of that. Beryl was one of her best friends. ]
Actually, there are a lot of people here that I think you would like.

Uh, yeah, sure. I'd like to meet them.
[Kohaku's friends are her friends!... or something. But the number of people Kohaku has met here only reminds Beryl of how long her friend has been here.
Well, at least Shing was with her.]

[ But right now, she just wants to spend time with Beryl. She hadn't seen her at all in the past several months, and she had missed her friend terribly. ]
... So ... how have you been adjusting to Vatheon? Is there anything I can help with?
[ she brings her legs up onto the couch with her, hugging them and resting her head on her knees as she looks at Beryl. ]

[there's a pause.]
...Eventually.

[ She's still worried, because she knows from experience just how much it could take to grow accustomed to this place ... but she wants to trust that Beryl knows her limits, too. ]

[Beryl nods a few times.]
I'll be okay, so don't worry.
[but it almost sounds like she is telling this to herself.]

She does know there is one thing that she can say, though. ]
I'll worry anyway, you know that.
[ there's a bit of sheepishness to accompany that. ]
