[ Here we are. Monday afternoon, the weather nice and warm, and Japan holding a large lunchbox in his hands as promised. He is five minutes early than the promised time and briefly wonders if he should wait in the nearest park - when he sees Minato.
Oh. Looks like he wouldn't have to wait after all.
He makes his way to him. ]
You're here earlier than I expected Minato-kun.

He looks up from his MP3 player as Japan approaches, nodding.]
It was a nice day for a walk. Hello, Japan-san. How are you doing?
no subject
[ Sure he never has been much of an outdoor person, but he doesn't want to be too out of shape. ]
What about yourself, Minato-kun?
no subject
I've been fine. It's interesting to see all of these new people.
[I've been social linking, grandpa.]
Should we set up the picnic?
no subject
Oh and brb, switching the heavy lunchbox to another hand. ]
Ah of course. Is there a spot you have in mind?
no subject
He does reach out to take the lunchbox, nodding.]
The park is fine, right? There's a tree right over there that could work.
no subject
[ He could've carried it honestly. But he wont' deny the extra help. ]
Ah yes. The park will be fine. It has been a while since I ate under a tree ... it brings back a lot of memories.
no subject
Does it? How long has it been?
[forgive him, but his country in human form is still a fascinating thing.]
no subject
[ Japan jumps then. He didn't mean to talk about depressing things. Sorry grandson. ;; ]
Ah. I apologize.
no subject
He is quick to shake his head, though.]
No, please don't apologize. I am happy to know what happens.
[Since he...didn't really get to see it.]
no subject
... Really? That's, admirable.
I think knowing the future would be scary at times.
no subject
Is it? I mean, it won't matter what I learn regardless.
I'd just like to know more about you.
[His home, his country, and his grandpa-san.]
no subject
I don't mind sharing.
Mm. But if you put it that way, I don't know where to start ...
[ Japan looks happily troubled (if that is indeed possible).
What should you do?
> What do you do for fun?
> Ask about a fond memory.

He just tilts his head, setting to unpacking the food.]
Why not start with something you like? A happy time, or something similar?

I suppose, it's when I first began industrializing.
It was tough times - [ He smiles, and there is a rare edge of pride in his eyes. ] But it was ... fun. I learned a lot of things.
