Conan sneezes violently and hurriedly attempts to wipe the water off of his glasses.  Of course his clothes were just as waterlogged as the rest of him, so that was mostly an exercise in futility. 

Where was he?  The last thing he remembered was seeing that person aiming her motorcycle at the criminal holding him hostage.  

It hadn't been raining.

So how had he been transported from that stand-off to this place, feeling and looking like he had fallen into a lake?  Ignoring his discomfort, Conan puts his glasses back on and starts to investigate the situation.

[ Hey Conan, you in for a shock? Because you are about to get one, my friend. None other then Kudo Shinichi is moving about the plaza. Oh no wait, that's Kaitou Kid. But he recognizes the little detective immediately and moves over to him. ]

[ Somehow, Conan was exactly the person he needed to see most and at the same time the person he wanted to see least of all. Never mind, the thief approaches quickly, trying his best to remain unseen by the detective before he can grab him by the collar and pull him to a more disclosed area. ]

[Conan stiffens as he feels the eyes of someone watching him and begins carefully glancing around the plaza.]

[sonlight]

[A young kid, stranded in the plaza and soaked to the bone? Boy, the time for new arrivals sure has it's way of sneaking up on you...

Chibi ducks into the Welcome Committee a moment, hoisting a towel onto his back, then makes his way over.] Arf!

[Conan sneezes again as he watches the dog approach with the towel. His expression is torn between puzzlement and disbelief.]

[kid_in_disguise]

[ Yeah, he's well aware Conan can feel when eyes are on him and slides as easily as possible out of view. He waits a few seconds, keeping to the shadows before pulling out a handkerchief and spraying it with sleeping gas. Possibly unnecessarily. ]

[ After he's got his weapon firmly in place he moves soundlessly over to the smaller and grabs him quickly by the collar and presses the sleeping gas soaked handkerchief over the detective's mouth and nose at the exact same time. The less of a scene this makes the better. ]

[Conan struggles and tries to shout as he feels the grip on his collar. But his voice is muffled before he can catch anyone's attention. His struggles increase as he recognizes the scent on the handkerchief. Conan holds his breath and tries not to inhale. But it was too late. He falls unconscious quickly.]

[sonlight]

[Such an expression isn't enough to deter this sun dog from helping out, and he approaches with absolutely no concept of politeness or personal space considered! He nods toward the towel on his back, indicating that hey, it's for you, bro.

He's been reprimanded for trying to hand people things with his mouth before, so he'll wait for Conan to take it himself. He doesn't want any complaints about dog drool this time!]

[ Kaito lets out a sigh of relief, feeling incredibly strange about his actions just then. He'd done a lot worse so why did that leave him feeling slightly queasy? No matter, he'd better hurry and get the detective back to the house so they can talk. ]

[ It's easy to pass it off as Conan having fallen asleep and thankfully no one questions him while he moves as casually and yet as quickly as he can back to house one in Coral Corral. He can't risk the chance that Ran is in the kitchen so he takes the back door into his room and slips inside without a sound before carting the unconcisous detective to his closet where Kaito punches in the code to access the room he's hidden behind it. ]

[ He set the detective in the swivel chair behind the desk and with a two pairs of handcuffs secures his wrists to the chair. Once he's sure the detective won't escape in the short time it takes him to get back, he exits the secret room and heads off to grab a towel. ]

[When Conan wakes up the first thing he is aware of is the foul taste in his mouth. Drugged. Of course. Given the situation, he finds it hard to be surprised at the handcuffs. He tests them, but can't see any easy way to free himself. He had never learned lockpicking. And even if he had learned it, he didn't have anything to use as a tool.

After a few moments of inspection, Conan abandons the handcuffs and begins looking around the room. It appeared to be a storage room, but filled with items he recognized as magic tools. Interesting.

The detective hadn't gotten a good look at his kidnapper, but he was beginning to put a theory together.]

[kid_in_disguise]

[ He won't have long to wait as Kid makes it back into the room quickly and really isn't surprised to see the detective is awake. ]

You don't stay out for long, do you?

[He ignores the question.]

What do you want, Kid? [Conan scowls darkly at him as he rattles the handcuffs.]

And why are you using that disguise?

[deductiongeek]

[...Dogs trained to dispense towels? Conan warily takes a corner of the towel.]

Because latex is annoying. We've had this conversation before.

And I only want to talk.

[sonlight]

[He tilts his head to the side at his hesitation, wondering what's up. Do you not know how to use towels, dude?]

If you wanted to talk, we could have done that without going through all of this.

[Conan takes the towel carefully and inspects it. It was possible this was a trap of some kind.]

[kid_in_disguise]

Safety precautions were necessary, detective.

[ he moves over to Conan and drops the towel on his head before freeing the lock on one set of handcuffs. ]

You haven't cared much for such precautions before. [He sputters as the towel droops over his face and blocks his vision.]

This is different. You might want to kick something at me after all this.

[Conan uses his free hand to pull the towel off his face. He gives the thief a suspicious look.]

What have you done?

[kid_in_disguise]

Made my life into a train wreck. But, before I go into details, it's not like you to forget things, meitantei, so tell me what you remember of the first time you were here?

I've never been here before.

[kid_in_disguise]

... That answers that question. Actually, you'll find that you have.

To start with, I showed up here after a heist-still in Kid-guise so I disguised as you and have been living under your name for the better part of four months now.

I think I would remember an incident like this.
