Dinner out
Characters: Ky Kiske and Dizzy
Location: Middle District
Time: Early Evening
Style: Prose?
Status: Closed
For all the Dizzy seemed to be doing well here -- as well as could be expected, at least, with this place constantly playing with their minds -- Ky certainly understood that the people here weren't all that much like who they had known before, and that even just having a familiar face around could help with this place. Besides, it was Dizzy, and Ky would happily help her however he could.
He couldn't claim entirely selfless motives for inviting her out to dinner. He did enjoy her company quite a lot and her view of the world was always refreshing to be around. Still, he was okay with it being mutually beneficial as long as it was that, so he stood outside the restaurant, waiting for her.

/sorry for making you wait so long orz
"Ky!" she called walking up to him. "I hope you weren't waiting for too long..."

He gestured at the restaurant which he'd selected, hoping that it would be to her liking. It was too late to recommend something else, after all. "Would you like to go in now?"
no subject
"Yes." she smiled at him happily. "...Thank you for inviting me."
He did say he was busy, didn't he? Though, Dizzy would like him to be a bit more social - having friends was a lot of fun after all! - but she also knew how important his work was to him.
no subject
"I enjoy your company," he admitted, as they entered the restaurant. "So thank you for accepting."
no subject
Yet, it was such a strange thought. She's never felt like this about anyone before...
"How could I not accept your invitation?" she asked him still smiling.
no subject
"I can think of reasons," he said, since he was certain that she could spend her time with other people -- people who made better friends -- had she wished.
no subject
"I can't think of any reason at all." she admitted.
The thought that she could not accepted Ky's invitation in favor of spending her time with other people never even crossed her mind.
no subject
"You said that you'd found people here you can be friendly with. Wouldn't one of them have liked to eat dinner with you?"
He was sure that she wouldn't have lied, but perhaps her friends weren't as friendly as he'd hoped they would be, for her sake.
no subject
She then turned to face him again.
"Ah... I suppose it must sound a little strange..."
It was a strange feeling to her at least.
no subject
And he was equally sure that the feeling didn't mean the same thing for both of them.
"I should be able to arrange my schedule some to allow that more often if you wished." It was true that he didn't have as much here to keep him busy. He could see a danger in spending too much time with her like this, though, where his thoughts might go where they weren't allowed to.
"Perhaps you could introduce me to some of your friends, if you still wish to."
/sorry I'm being so slow ;;
"I would love to." she answered when he mentioned her friends. Perhaps Ky would also make friends with them? As much as she knew how important his work was to him, she really hoped he would.
Really, don't worry about it
"As well as...spending more time the two of us." His cheeks turned a little red, as he glanced away. "That is, if you wanted to."
no subject
Dizzy was grateful for being here. Though she missed her Sky pirate friends, in here, she was given a chance to get to know Ky better and spend time with him.
She liked the time when there was just him and her.
Seeing Ky's face turning slightly red, Dizzy leaned closer, giving him a bit of a worried look.
"You're face is getting red... Are you alright?"
no subject
"Ah, yes, I'm fine. Just a little..." He waved a hand, hoping he could get off from explaining. He knew that some of what he was feeling for Dizzy didn't belong in the context of their friendship, and he should therefore do his best to not let it intrude any further than into his own mind. It would probably be best if the next time they met they met around Dizzy's friends, when Ky would be better able to keep his thoughts from running down paths they shouldn't go, keep him from wanting to ask questions like 'what if he told her how she beautiful she looked today?'
"Have you had a chance yet to think about what you might like to order?"
no subject
Dizzy looked at him confused and still slightly worried. She didn't understand why Ky's face had gotten so red all of a sudden. Still, if he said that he was fine, then she had to believe him.
"Ah, no... I haven't..." she made a thoughtful look. "What should I order, I wonder...?"
no subject
"Whatever sounds good. I can't recommend anything at this restaurant, I've never been here before."
no subject
She looks at the menu, then points a few things in it.
"Then maybe this... and this...?"
no subject
"It's really nice to have you here."
no subject
"You, too." her smile only got bigger. "I'm glad you're here with me."
