Usagi's dreams didn't, as a rule, involve the ocean. She was more likely to dream of eating a giant marshmallow and waking up to find her pillow covered with drool. This had been different; she kept reaching out, trying to catch one of the brightly colored fish that floated past her. They had all evaded her grasp, every single one of them, as she steadily floated downward. Usagi wasn't afraid in the dream, though; and when she finally felt her feet touch the bottom, she smiled.

When she blinked her eyes open, she didn't think she was awake. She gave her arm a pinch, but she didn't wake up. Was this a dream? It didn't feel like one.

"Um, hello?"

Well, she had to start somewhere.

What the hell was going on in this city? There have been changes before, but few were ever as drastic as this. The island was different and even the SFCs have changed into these DreamBerry things.

Is this something he should be worried about? Squall just has to hope that this is like every other time something has happened in Vatheon and it would be resolved soon.

He hears the confused call and finds himself looking at a new arrival. Oh hey, something that's normal. By Vatheon standards, anyway.

...he shouldn't feel that way about people getting plucked from their homes and dumped here, but he really needs this sense of "normalcy" right now. The standard procedure of welcoming newbies was to hand them a towel, so Squall gets one from a nearby stand and holds it out to the girl.

"Here."

"Ah, thank you," she answered, taking that towel and taking the moment to wipe her face off. Her clothes were going to be a loss till she got changed, but that didn't really matter.

"I'm Usagi. Um...was I dreaming? I can't tell if I'm awake or not."

"Squall Leonhart. I'm not sure if you were dreaming before, but you're not now."

Some people dreamed of water and the ocean before waking up here. It felt like so long ago since Squall first turned up soaked in Vatheon's plaza.

"This is Vatheon," he said, handing her a brochure.

[She turns when she catches a glimpse of floating yellow. While normally, Usagi might startle a little, she doesn't get the sense that there's anything to be afraid of. At least, nothing that's more frightening than waking up in a new place is.]

[Gohan stops to greet the girl politely. As usual, he does try to stand in such a way that she's not facing his left side, where the arm is missing. But the scar over his eye is still present.]

It's a very elaborate dream if it is. [Gohan laughs good-naturedly, right along with her.] I'm pretty sure I'm real, and someone around here should have a towel.

[Rinoa hasn't been having a great day, so she's out on a mission to get a carton or five of ice cream. She's sort of in a hurry and she's bundled up in a hoodie with the hood pulled over, although that's more to hide the very tired and still slightly puffy looking face.

The newcomers had been arriving early this month, so Rinoa hadn't been expecting to run into any new ones. When she hears Usagi call out, she stops in her tracks and looks over. She hasn't seen her before so she's pretty sure she's new here (not to mention she's soaking wet, so...). At the same time, she just wants to go home and eat ice cream and throw a pity party. That would involve leaving the newcomer to wander around on her own.

...Luckily her inability to ignore people in need wins over and she walks over to Usagi.]
