The Great Chocobo Flash Mob

Who: Selphie, and a whole load of chocobos!
When: Early Afternoon
Where: The plaza
Style: Any you like! ^^
Status: OPEN!

Selphie was taking the chocobos out for a walk. Sure, they had a whole field of their own, but sometimes she liked to take them around the town, let them see the sights, and treat them to a soda. Usually, though, Selphie would be leading round six or eight chocobos, each keeping in line in pairs. The birds are pretty big, but that wasn't so impossible. Today, though, Selphie had at least twenty large yellow birds with her, marching along towards the plaza.

Since she was out of a job (no longer to be found at the flower shop), Selphie had a lot of time on her hands, and that meant upping her game when it came to dancing with the chocobos. Selphie sat at a bench, held up her fingers and counted down from three to one. When she pointed at them, they began to twirl, and flap, and stomp in sync, perfectly in time to some cheerful pop music that Selphie played from a small music player and speakers she had brought.

So Vatheon, if you are out and about on this lucky day, you will see the most dazzling display of chocobo dancing you have ever seen in your life! Twenty chocobos dancing for the residents of Vatheon! Or twenty chocobos blocking your way from getting where you want to go.

Roxas was out with a similar mission, leading his own much smaller gaggle of three chocobos still not much bigger than chickens. As they reached the plaza, he stopped to stare at the sight of all those birds. They could dance?

The young chocobos at his feet warked in excitement, flapping their wings. The red one even started trying to imitate the dancing, with adorable if not very graceful results.

They're not as cute as when they were little fluffballs that fit in the palm of your hand, but they are still pretty adorable. They puff up at the attention, cheeping happily and angling closer in hopes of pettings.

"No need to feed their egos too much."

"They're getting pretty spoiled already..."

But clearly neither Selphie nor the birds are going to listen to him. They haven't really been gushed over like this before, and it seems to make them pretty happy.

It was difficult to argue with. It wasn't like he disliked spoiling them.

"I just- thought they'd like to get out of the apartment for a while. Seems like they wanna learn though."

Not so many babies this year? Roxas looked back at the gathering of adult chocobos, wondering. "Are you sure there weren't any ones they lost?"

Oblivious to his concerns, the three smaller chocobos seemed to take the faster tempo as an invitation to scuttle over to the other birds. Warking inquisitively and excitedly, the red and yellow ones started trying the moves themselves. The blue one meanwhile just watched as though planning to learn the whole thing that way and then show them up.

"Well, we found them when the bubble flooded. I guess they got separated."

Chocobos don't just spring up out of the ground. Maybe some of these chocobos are their actual parents... Not that they'd probably recognize them at this point.

Isa fluffed up his wings at the nudge, but stubbornly refused to dance for the moment.

No, Roxas had no idea. All these birds couldn't belong to her, right? He blinked a little at her reaction, but conceded easily. "Oh. Then maybe they were wild ones."

"Ah..." Now he's sort of confused, but oh well. In the end it doesn't matter where the birds' chocobo parents are because they believe he and Axel are their parents now. "Yeah. We are taking good care of them."
