It's that time again~
Who: Villa Residents and visitors!
What: Second verse, same as the first? Actually it's more like the tenth time now
When: Any time during the week
Where: Da Villa
Style: Whatever you want!
[The house is repaired, the flood damage is gone, Maka and Kid are back and the house seems to be in good spirits this month!
So, with curse shenanigans in full swing, house-mingle away!]

Any day tbh
If one were to happen upon her they would find her settled in reading a book...backwards?
No, it's just a text that happens to be in Japanese. If anyone is going to throw themselves bodily into reintroducing themselves to a language they technically know, it's Maka. Approach y/n?]

What'cha reaaadin'?

It's one of your texts from True Cross, actually! I figured I should educate myself more on demons.
no subject
Oh, yeah, I recognize that one now. What section are you on?
no subject
[A beat.]
I'm not sure how salt is supposed to accomplish something like that.

[Rin you sleep through EVERY lesson.]
no subject
I'm always hearing that from you!
no subject
[ohno not the nose tweak!]
W-well it's true! The lessons are borin'!
no subject
[Because you know you want an image of Maka as a kawaii True Cross student.]

Re: Any day tbh
[Oh hey, it's Masaru. He has... never tried to chat Maka up when she was reading.
Or shown any interest in books before.
What is this?]
Good book?

[Masaru rubs the back of his head, laughing nervously]
I was wonderin' if I could talk to ya about somethin...

... I know this is weird coming from me, but I think I should at least have options that don't involve fightin'. And you seemed like the one who'd know better'n me, and I didn't want to ask the whole network...

[That was a joke, hahaha.]
I'm sure that they'd be happy to take you on.
no subject
... but thanks. That's helpful!

Back when they talked about this thing.
Hello Ms. Albarn.
no subject
And good day to you, Ms. Maryam!
[The lack of glowing is noted with a doubletake as Maka goes to greet Kanaya.]
Are you okay?
no subject
[She 'clicks' on and off again briefly.]
I've been spending some time getting reacquainted with the concept of darkness, now that I've figured out this little trick.
no subject
I hope you don't get called a lamp. People might try to tug on your horns to turn you "off" or something.

[She really doesn't feel like she needs to enumerate how. She can can bear social barbs with the best of them, and should reciprocated comments not do the trick, a revving chainsaw can be one hell of a negotiator.]
I brought those books we discussed. I was wrong earlier. Two of them are specifically about Japanese fashion and culture. One book is on general Asian wear, though it has a section on Japan. The last book is about a different Asiatic country called China.
[Pretty sure she's heard of that one, Kan.]
no subject
[Of course she has.]
Come on and sit with me. [She gestures. After you, Lady Maryam~]

I met your teacher outside, by the way. He seemed like an interesting person.
