[Speaking to someone who, for all intents and purposes, is a cop was not high on Asakura's list of "Thing to do in my life". Let alone it being a talk about her experiment with Ioder a night or so ago.

But hey, she had contacted Ky to let him know that she could talk to him and to meet her in the plaza area. So there she was, waiting, dressed in a simple button up shirt and skirt and looking pretty plain and normal.

And not anything like she could go out and stab someone.]

[ Ky is more than aware that being a member of the Defense Force in Vatheon isn't like being an actual police officer, mostly because he'd been the latter. In Vatheon, though, he doesn't really have the ability to put someone on trial to adequately determine their guilt. His efforts in creating such an infrastructure haven't proceeded far enough yet to help him now. Instead he needs to make a personal assessment of her character. She'd sounded pleasant enough over the SFC, but it's hard to determine what people are like when he can't see their eyes, and Ky has talked with Ioder before and he doesn't think the boy would lie to him. And there's Zelos, whose interest seems to simply be in helping a friend, a sentiment Ky sympathizes with. He doesn't want to disappoint the other man.

It all feels like a heavy weight on his shoulders as he goes to the plaza. Still, he offers her a distantly polite smile when he sees her, and his hand to shake. ]

Asakura? I'm Ky, thank you for taking the time.

[Oh, hand shakes. She's more used to non-hand shake ways of greeting, but she'll take the offered hand and give Ky a big bright smile. Nothing about her body language or expression gives one hint that she could ever be involved in what Ioder was accusing her of.]

Yes, and it's no problem, Mister Kiske. I'd prefer if this mess was cleared up quickly so everyone can go back to their normal lives.

[She shook his hand as she spoke, the grip may seem a bit firmer than one would expect from a sixteen year old girl, but other than that it's pretty normal.]

[ Ky doesn't have much experience shaking hands with sixteen year olds, and it certainly doesn't strike him as unusual. ]

Of course. You said that you had been injured? Are you feeling any better?

Mm, yes! I visited the coral just a bit before you arrived.

[She's let go of the hand shake now, and she's still all smiles.]

Is there anything else you wish to speak to me about? Other than about the horrible incident with Mister Heurassein?

I thought that you didn't think that it would work?

No, I think that is the only thing that concerns me.

Well I wasn't aware it could until you mentioned it, so now I know better.

[she doesn't seem bothered by admitting this, oddly enough.]

Hm, so other than what we discussed over the starfish what else do you want to know?

Have you seen anyone who could attest that you were injured for as long as you said you were?

[ He's still focused on her, believing he can read her intentions in her eyes if he just looks deep enough. ]

His well being is my concern at the moment, certainly.

[He won't find many intentions there, and she's a little unnerved by the looking deeply into her eyes stuff.

Oh right, someone who knew she was injured.]

Ah, that would be Mister Daimon. Masaru Daimon, I was with him during the events on the island. So he was there at the exact moment my injuries happened.

[Ky's a little unnerved by not seeing clear -- or any at all -- signs of guilt. Is Ioder mistaken in his accusation after all? But he, too, had seemed to truly believe what he'd said when he'd accused her.]

And have you spoken with Mister Daimon since the battle?

[She nods, making a "mmhmm" sound. And there will never be guilt from her because no matter what she does she never ever feels guilty.

Even though she will always say she had nothing to do with what happened to Ioder.]

He got in contact with me in regards to my slight problem with Mister Okumura, which had already been cleared up by then.

[Ky's dealt with literal monsters, creatures with no souls -- but with them he'd been still able to tell. They'd made no secret of their inhumanity.

He lets it go, looking away from her to focus on her words a moment.]

When was this? And what was the nature of the problem to which you refer?

[If Ky decides to continue going after Asakura he'll learn a lot of things that could be unnerving.

But for now she's going to smile as she answers his question.]

Around the same time, well that is... the source of the problem was before the eclipse but it was solved afterwards.

I may have borrowed some chef's knives from him without asking. But I did return them to him when he reacted quite rudely over the communications network.

I remember his reaction.

[Ky had had a discussion with Rin on the topic, and now he has a similar question for Asakura as he'd asked him.]

What did you need a set of knives for?

Self-defense. I've been sleeping outside since I arrived here and since no place is really safe I thought it would be best to have a way to protect myself.

[her smile may have just turned a bit smirk-y now.]

And then that thing showed up on the island and I used them there and that was it.

If you're so worried about your own defense then why not sleep in an apartment? Or for that matter get a proper weapon, one intended to be used as a weapon?

Because I don't have a method to "pay" for any of those things.

[she has no idea where her tattoo is, Ky.]

Yes...you do.

How long have you been here?

[Getting distracted from questioning her to helping her is definitely a thing that could happen.]

You mean the tattoo, yes? I went to the welcome center very soon after I arrived here, Mister Kiske.

[Oh good just as planned.]

I just haven't found where the tattoo is on my person.

[She hasn't actually had time to get buck arse naked after all.]

If it's somewhere you wouldn't...feel comfortable showing, there are other people around who I'm sure would be happy to help you purchase whatever you need.

[She nods.]

Of course, but I would hate to bother someone with something like clothes shopping and such.

That and it's not like I have a place to keep such things. At least for now.

That's something that you should fix as soon as possible, particularly if you don't feel safe out on your own.

I could help you with it now.

And clothing is important.

I can do it myself, but thank you for the offer.

[And pfft, it's other people who shouldn't feel safe with Asakura being unsupervised, really.]

Oh, I know. Just I'd rather not have it get dirty while I can't wash it all properly, especially since I have just these clothes and my school uniform.

If you can, then you really should.

It sounds like having a place to live would solve many of your other problems.

[Ky's concern for her has pretty much taken over his thoughts of accusations.]

I will do my best to find a place soon, so please don't worry about me too much, Mister Kiske.

[Asakura manages to sound happy that Ky seems concerned about her well being, or at least grateful for it.]

I just.

It's important that everyone be safe...

Well, yes, it is but...

[She hrms and then... ah ha! She smiles and she'll offer Ky her pinky finger.]

How about this, if I ever get into trouble, or I haven't found a place to stay at by the end of this month, I'll make sure to let you or the other Defense Force folks know about it? I'll even pinky promise it.

[He blinks at it, quite confused for a moment, then blusters.]

I'm not sure that that's necessary, just...do take care of yourself.

[He studies her a moment, with some recurring suspicion, but if she doesn't have a place to live or another set of clothes, then...there's no blood on what she's wearing now.]

And perhaps stay away from Ioder now, as well as anyone else you've had a disagreement with.

[Or she thoroughly disposed of her bloody clothes.

But she sighs and lowers her hand.]

Alright then, but I do wish to apologize to Mister Heurassein for my behaviour when we first talked. After that I will avoid him as best as I can.

[A smile, because he does like that idea.]

Perhaps I can go with you if you'd prefer to do it in person, rather than over the SFC.

Ah, actually if he's been accusing me of attacking him I don't think speaking to him now would be a good idea. Since he may still be in a bad state since such an unfortunate event.

Well, if you could talk to him with someone else around, perhaps you could clear up some of the confusion.

Perhaps, but that will have to wait until he's feeling better.
