[Ever since Silver gave her Shae, Amane is trying trying her best to take care of the Eevee. She learned how to take care of her, as well as what to feed her and how to train the small Pokemon. The priestess isn’t interested in battling, but she knows it’s necessary to know how to defend oneself. As well as being healthy and fit.

So whenever she can, Amane would take Shae out for a walk towards the forest. There’s plenty of room for running around there, and the Eevee can explore to her heart’s content.

Shae is running ahead of her, waiting for Amane at the dorm’s doors so they can leave. Once Amane opened the doors, the two of them start walking. Or rather, Shae running ahead from time to time, and Amane keeping up with her energetic Eevee.

Will you encounter these two, Vatheon? And at where?]

(OOC: As a reminder, if your characters can sense it, Amane is a host to both a demon and an angel. It might tingle their supernatural senses.)

[Cheren doesn't really notice Amane. He's too engrossed in his book to pay much attention to people walking to and from in the forest. There were always a few, and he didn't feel the need for small talk unless there was reason for it.

Cheren's Pokemon, however, feel otherwise. Liepard happened to be the most interested in the little Eevee. While his others glanced at the foxlike Pokemon as it dashed past (Espeon watching intently, but ultimately deciding not to move after it. Too much work), Liepard, followed it, curious to see where it was heading.]

[The little Eevee was mostly interested in finding new things in the forest, and seeing what her nose sniff out. Her ears twitched, before looking around and see the Liepard. Oh?

Meanwhile, Amane saw the unfamiliar feline creature and watch. It doesn't seem hostile at the moment.]

[Now that he has Eevee's attention, Liepard crouches down next to the Eevee, tilting his head to the side curiously. Eevees were pretty difficult to come by in Unova, and even here in Vatheon, so the only Eevee he'd ever seen before now was Cheren's own before it evolved.

Finally noticing that Liepard seemed unusually quiet compared to how he would normally behave, Cheren looks up from his book to see what's going on. He notices the Eevee first, then Amane shortly after.]

That Eevee is yours, I take it?

[Shae was one of the Pokemon born in Vatheon. She doesn't see other Pokemon often, other than the one living at the dorm or those in Silver's team. She look at Liepard, curiously.

Amane glance over at Cheren when he asked. A trainer?]

Shae? Yes, she is.

So are you a Trainer, or did you get the Eevee here? [because he knows they were giving Eevee eggs away way back when, he even got one himself. ...And he had given eggs away himself, as well, but of different Pokemon.]

She's a gift for me. I guess I am a Trainer as well.

[She's not really into the competitive aspect of it, from what Amane learned from Silver.]

[he would challenge her to a battle, but... with just an Eevee, it wouldn't be entirely fair, and he would probs feel bad about it, so he'll just refrain from doing so.]

Right. My name's Cheren, for the record. I'm a Trainer from the Unova region.

[She might accept, but she thought both her and Shae won't be a good enough challenge.]

It's nice to meet you, Cheren. My name is Amane Kuzuryu and I'm a priestess from Japan.

[Japan? Well, he knew it was a place in other worlds, and he also knew the Japan that was here in Vatheon before, but he'd never actually met someone from there. Or at least, to his knowledge. He'd never really asked too many of the people not from the Pokemon world where they were from.]

Did you know the Japan that was here, then? Or are you from an entirely different world than him?

I know Japan, but I'm not from the same world as him.

[If they are, Amane would have apologise to him. If Japan knew what she did, she can hope he understands. But now, she haven't told him.]

Our worlds are similiar, but mine doesn't have personified countries.

[He's really not all that surprised that personified countries aren't exactly a common thing. If they were, he was sure there would be someone running around saying they were Unova.]

That makes sense. So, your world doesn't have anything comparable to Pokemon, either, I assume. Right?

We have animals, but they don't have the Pokemon's range of abilities. [But then again...] There are demons, but most of them dwell in their own world.

[Animals, he's familiar with. There's plenty of those here. Demons, though? That catches his interest.]

Demons? What do you mean by that?

They're supernatural creatures, often with great strengths and powers. People don't usually see them back in my world.

[Until the lockdown happened. Um.]

So, they're similar to Pokemon, except less common, and you don't catch them, I'm assuming?

That's correct. There are ways of contracting demons to do our bidding, but it can be costly.

[Like "may die" costly.]

[welp, that's much less pleasant than throwing a Pokeball at something.]

Can you have more than one, or is it only possible to... contract with one demon?

You can have more than one contract. It's possible to have as many as you like, as long you have the time and resources for them.

[Then again, the Devil Auction streamlined the process a lot.]

Huh. Well, I guess that's similar enough, in a way. A Trainer can carry up to six Pokemon, but they can catch as many as they're able to.

Yes. I heard about that from Silver. [Having a trainer as a boyfriend got its perks. Like learning Pokemon things.]

We can field two demons per tamer in battle, but we can switch them around as necessary.

[he frowns a bit at the mention of Silver's name. While he hadn't seen him at all since he arrived here again, the last times he was here, he and Silver hadn't really gotten along well at all.]

So he's still here, too, then.

Can you switch them in the middle of a battle, out of curiosity?

[She's not surprised by that, if she knows it. Amane would have prefer for them to get along a little better.]

Yes, he's still here. [A fact she's glad for, if she can indulge her selfish desires.]

As long I'm not being attacked, I can switch them. [Because if she's down, that means no more demons coming out.]

[so long as she's not being attacked? Well, there's one main difference. Pokemon could be switched around outside of battle, sure, but switching them in and out could really only happen during.]

Looks like we found another difference, then. Trainers switch Pokemon in and out during battle all the time, if they feel the need to. Type advantages and disadvantages can entice a Trainer to switch to a more favorable match-up.

Mainly because, from what I know, Pokemon trainers aren't targeted as often as demon tamers.

[If the demon tamer's under attack (or knocked out), they can't bring out new demons to fight with.]

But demons do have resistances and different skills, similiar to Pokemon types. A smart tamer should know how to match their team and to cover up their weaknesses.

Well, it also sounds like we aren't targeted in the same way. Generally, Trainers aren't attacked during battle.

[weaknesses and resistances are something familiar, though, he knows all about that.]

That's the same with Pokemon. You can cover for your own type weaknesses with attacks that affect the type strong against it. Can you do that with demons?
