And a plague of narcolepsy slowly spreads
Who: Zelos and Duke (and kind of Zelda but she's comaed)
Where: The Library
When: Monday morning
Style: Brackets
Status: Closed
[This had actually been a fairly good week for Zelos. The curse, for once, had done him something of a favor in turning him Human and he'd spent that time sampling food, sampling a few of the local women, and reveling in the feelings of simply being mortal. Getting sleepy, hungry, even aches and small pains were wonderful and he'd actually had some eggs this morning before realizing that it was over and the food tasted bland again, all texture and no flavor.
Ah well. It had been fun while it lasted.
This meant that Zelda had likely passed out sometime around midnight, tired as all hell. She'd been a Seraph, crystal and all, and though her concealed glee over it had made Zelos mildly uncomfortable he'd come to terms with the fact that the state may have actually suited her.
Not finding her anywhere in the house, Zelos thinks for a moment and smiles to himself. Where else would she be if she literally had every hour of every day to study?
He makes his way to the library at a leisurely pace.]

He's currently some sort of half-awake, slowly growing closer to awake because One, Zelda was sort of sprawled over him. And Two, she wasn't so much as making grumpy sleepy noises of give-me-a-few-more-minutes, or sleeping noises and that was odd, because Duke's stomach was trying to disolve his spine or something. She should have woken too. ]

Well just... fine. Whatever. He doesn't care. Why should he care?
The Chosen makes his way over to untangle the slumbering princess from the mage's hair, staunchly putting on a careless air, but his expression turns towards worry when he moves her and gets no reaction.]
...Zelda?
no subject
But he will understand worry, particularly for a friend, and so he just... studies Zelos rather warily for his somewhat half-awake state. And tugs his hair away. ]
Has not been responding. [ He kinda tried that. ]
no subject
She's fine, just in one of those stupid coral comas.
[He picks her up easily, one arm supporting her shoulders and the other beneath her knees.]
I'll take her home, don't worry about it.
[He is so leaving before he has to spend more than five seconds talking to Duke, thanks. He knows he said no hard feelings but... well, there's still moderately dense feelings.]
no subject
In fact, ignoring the rumbling and complaints of his stomach, Duke is going to follow Zelos and Zelda. And fish through his pockets for anything to snack on. ]
no subject
I said I'd take care of it! You don't have to keep following.
no subject
Wish to aid. [ And even if Zelos says no, which he is fairly sure will happen, Duke is going to follow anyway. Deal with it. ]
no subject
[Just gonna try and keep walking away now...]
no subject
[ Following. Duckling would be accurate. ]
no subject
Look, Zelda doesn't want us to fight and I know I said no hard feelings, but that doesn't mean I want you lurking around! I'd never do anything to harm her so you can just go back to your little hut and pick berries or whatever the hell it is you do out there.
no subject
.... [ Well, for a little bit. ]
... Aware. Still do not wish to go; will 'lurk' out of your way.
no subject
Fine! Whatever, suit yourself! Just don't expect me to acknowledge you or anything.
[Commence ignoring of clingy albino!
Look, he's ignoring Duke hard enough that he closes and locks the door behind him when he gets home. What now, Duke?]
no subject
Duke will check windows then. Just because he's not an angel doesn't mean he's limited to the ground.
Oh, hey. This room smelled like Zelda. And while the color reminded him more of Zelos' coat, the bookshelf hinted it was hers too. And the window wasn't locked.
Sup Zelos, Duke beat you to Zelda's room. What now? ]
no subject
And what a fine how-do-you-do when he opens the door. With an irritated snort he carefully lays Zelda down on the bed, straightening her into a dignified position before looking up.]
That's breaking and entering, you know.
[He heaves a heavy sigh and brings one hand to the back of his head.]
Fine, I guess this'll work, just... don't expect me to get you food or anything. And if you're gonna be staying here you gotta pitch in.
[This is so stupid. Why won't he just leave?]
no subject
Will provide for self. [ Just absently studying Zelda. Not comfortable with it at all. ]
.... 'pitch in'...?
no subject
[Damnit Zelos, stop antagonizing the ubermage. He can't quite stop himself though. Duke just ensconcing himself in the house and Zelos not being able to do a damn thing about it really bothers him.]
no subject
[ Duke is refusing to get more than mildly irritated at Zelos' words. Particularly because this was in Zelda's house. ]
I do that already.
no subject
[With that, he heads out to start doing the laundry as he'd planned. As irritating as Duke is, he's realized at this point that leaving the albino alone with Zelda poses no danger at all. Whatever he'd done in his past, he'd proven he cares enough about Zelda not to do her harm.
Even if he's acting a bit like a stalker...]
no subject
[ He'll also not bring them into Zelda's room, because that is the 'here'. Zelos may have needed to specify "the house" for none to join him near a window in another room.
He may just take a seat on the floor for a little bit. Thinking time can be here, for now. ]
