Training Montage! Kinda-
Who: Prussia and YOU
Where: The Park
When: 30th April, Monday, noonish
Style: Action or prose, I'm flexible
Status: OPEN
So the dreamberry had turned back into the creepy Starfish Communicators, and the mysterious city up on the island had finished. Gilbert felt like Vatheon had given him a rather humiliating backhand, ending the mystery before Gilbert could solve it. Okay, so the dream broadcasting had finally stopped, which is what he and Fox had strived to do, but it was just frustrating that it ended because it felt like ending, not because Gilbert solved the mystery and kicked the source's ass.
Gah, it was frustrating.
So Gilbert pounded out his frustrations by taking a long jog throughout Vatheon's large park. It was pissing it down with rain, but that was better. Gilbert had learned one thing during his adventure with Fox, and that was he had gotten a little unfit during his retirement back home. He was determined to get himself fighting fit once more, and running in the rain was a great way to distract him from his frustrations over his failed investigating. It just made him more determined than ever to solve Vatheon's mysteries, even if he had no idea where to start. Prussia wasn't beaten that easily, dammit!
Although he did have to take a break. He slowed to a brisk walk, panting shallowly as he let the rain cool him down. He was dressed in running shorts and a thermal top, and he was sorely wishing he had the forethought to buy a sport's coat. He was alternating between humidly hot or numbingly cold, and he swung his arms as he sucked in a deep breath through his nose and swept at his wet face with his hands. Maybe he should head back home - or try to find some shelter until the rain stopped.
He started looking for some sort of umbrella or conservatory or a particularly thick shelter of trees - anything to rest under until the rain let up.

"If you get sick, then I get full rights to laugh at you, eh?" Of course he wouldn't, but there was never a wrong time for just a tiny bit of humour, right? ...well, of course there was but this certainly didn't seem to be one of them in his book so the sentiment still stood. "A- anyway, do you need an umbrella?" He was more than happy to share his, or even let Prussia borrow it for a bit. There was nothing wrong with getting a little wet for a bit.

While he was being friendly, Gilbert did sneak underneath the umbrella a little. Hope Canada didn't mind sharing close quarters with a soaked through Prussian in shorts and t-shirt.

"I've been well enough. I think. This whole thing has been sort of a mess." There was an apologetic smile and slight shrug as he simply left it at that. Sometimes he was just never too sure of Vatheon or anything about it and the past month seemed to fall under that category of just not being too sure about anything. "Regardless, I at least have remained sensible enough to bring an umbrella in the rain." Which was, really, just a light jab at Prussia. Though he couldn't blame the other as sometimes it was nice to just walk in the rain without one. Or run, if one pleases.
"And yourself?"

"Eh, I've been good. Got my own house, had a bit of an investigation going that ended in a bust, all that good stuff."

"At least you've been keeping busy." It was easy to fall into a cycle of inaction and just general complacancy in a place where when something strange happened it went back to normal right after without much after effects. One could easily say 'oh next week it'll be okay again so it doesn't really matter.' "Even if nothing panned out, there's always next time I'm sure." Somewthing eventually should turn up. Hopefully.
"Where did you move to?" That way he could come and visit without having to go door to door.

"Oh! No. I actually ended up moved in with my friend Jack." There was an unspoken 'again' since they had actually shared a place once before, but Canada had later moved out. "He's pleasant enough to live with and has been teaching me how to play the piano. I'm still not very good, but he's been quite patient with me."
There was a bit of a pause before he continued. "If you're getting cold, we can go find somewhere warmer."

Yup.

"Have you met many new people yet?"

Gilbert paused, realising he had been pretty much rambling about something Canada only had a polite interest in. "Er, yeah, so, that was it. Not very exciting."

"It was kind of awkward to be able to see dreams like that, actually. Nobody really expects their dreams to be just broadcast for all to see." Though it was also an interesting way to learn more about people as not everyone is who they seem and seeing into someone's inner self in such a manner can lead to a lot of learning. On the other hand, it was also a rather embarrassing invasion of privacy.
"As much as I think many would be interested in learning what the cause of the broadcast was, I'm sure there's enough thankful that it hopefully won't happen again."

He shrugged it off. "Wanna gimme a recipe? I dunno how to make cookies, to be honest."

"I'll be happy to share any recipe with you that you want, too. Just let me know."

Ah! Speaking of!
"Oh, hey yeah, Japan and Italy are having a picnic or meal or something at some point. I haven't spoken in Italy in a while, but, are you joining in on that, too?" Gilbert rubbed his neck and laughed. "Unless I missed it...I'm pretty bad with dates lately."
There was a pause. "But, right, yeah, I'd love to come round to yours and have cooking matches, or something. Iron Chef competitions."
