Wallace had brought his best blue swimming trunks in his satchel, as he found a place in the soft sand to sit down. He and Bianca had organised this day for a nice swim in the warm ocean. Why not? Since their last meeting, they had decided to meet up to explore Vatheon's warm waters. Wallace hadn't really been to the Beach much and it felt like he should. He had been living here long enough now.

Milotic was busy watching, as Wallace gazed at the soft waves curling into themselves. Would she want to swim as well? Milotic was a water Pokémon, so should naturally want to test the waters. He sighed as he waited for Bianca to show.

Burgh sighed. He hoped that Bianca would be able to help him.

[Pip hatched from an egg that Death the Kid found in the fridge in the Soul Eater cast's villa about a year and a half ago. Somehow, he still hasn't quite figured out that the non-humans here in Vatheon aren't Pokemon for him to fight with.

And for some reason, Pip has been in a mood to pick fights recently. So, if you have an animal, or if you are an animal, or maybe if you're a troll, there is a (slightly pudgy) fox-like creature suddenly attacking with a jumping tackle.

Alternatively, Pip is trying to fight ducks using that same jumping tackle. The ducks are not very amused. Some of them run off, but then Pip goes after a goose. The goose is almost exactly what he was looking for in an opponent, though it's not very good at taking turns.

Dr. Stein is being very responsible and keeping track of the Eevee.

Actually no, he's just taking notes on Pip's behavior and watching in amusement.]

That had been Silver's first thought when he'd spotted the blonde kid- Bianca or something like that - on his morning walk back from the park where he'd been training both swordmanship and pokemon. While he'd normally have started bullying the girl, his own memories of the age curse brought him to a pause.

Would she remember it? He knew he remembered his own time as a kid here -

[ So Sunday had been a particularly bad day for Duke, although it did end up with him eating a bit more than usual because wow, it should not have been that easy for him to get knocked down-

But monday morning felt fine. Mostly because he got hit with the curse, and once again was able to sprout wings and... ignore any normal needs. Although he did find it a little harder to talk this time... Perhaps he was a different sort of angel? Still had a crystal... Oh well.

This mostly left him with a great deal more hours than he had for the past weeks, and so the ordo-Zel house is swiftly filled with the smells of apples and baking... Because if he remembers the days right, then this is close to that gift-giving holiday and...

He can't really think of much.

The problem with a full twenty four hours to spend doing something is that he ends up with way more apple pies than he has people he knows. Everyone Duke knows the name of gets 1(one) Apple Pie with 1(one) slightly magicked pie tin. The tin will keep the pies at a nice warm temperature, and will do this again if they are cooked in the pie tin. Something to do with "absorbing and storing heat from the oven and giving it slowly back over time", the note explains. Don't make cold pies in this tin, obviously.

This does leave a great deal of pies left over, and after some thought, Duke takes them to the plaza and the coral. This was newcomer time, wasn't it?

Now there's a table with pies, notes attached explaining "keep-warm pie tins", and a small paper sign proclaiming them as free apple pies. Yup. ]

(OOC: FEEL FREE TO FIND HIM DELIVERING PIES TO CHARACTERS WHO HE KNOWS. Just mention "christmas" or something in your tag and I will know it is his gift-giving o/ ANYONE CAN GET PIES FROM THE PLAZA...

Duke is also a Symphonian Angel for this -)

[ Between finding himself literally stuck to Kohaku at the beginning of the week and seeing that everyone else was having the same problem... to say that Shing was expecting something awkward to happen at some point during this week would be an understatement.

Of course, by this point it would be nearly impossible to avoid going out of the house, especially where errands were involved...

So, after several moments of decision -- as well as his telling Kohaku that he'd contact her if something or someone came up -- Shing's out and about doing... something.

How hilaribad this ends up as depends on who he encounters at this point. ]

[Although the two of them--well, 18 of them counting Pokemon--had managed to clear out Bianca's old apartment and move her belongings into her new place, Cheren still had a nagging feeling that it would take a long time before Bianca sat down and actually unpacked her stuff. Knowing Bianca as long as he had, he was sure that nagging feeling would be right unless he offered to help fix that problem himself.

Unfortunately, as much as he would have loved to get all of that out of the way as soon as possible, other things had gotten in the way. Things like food and being hungry. Packing things and carrying boxes all day did tend to work up an appetite, after all, which is why instead of unpacking Bianca's belongings, she and Cheren were down in the Plaza, searching for a good place to eat.]

Wallace was keen to put his battling skills into action once more. Now, he was in a new place and new people to meet, he was keen to let his Pokemon stretch their legs once more. Milotec watched as he looked around for any passers by who wanted to take part in a Pokemon battle. Surely, there were some who enjoyed a battle in Vatheon? He had met some trainers and those interested in Pokemon already. A girl named Bianca had caught his interest. She seemed genuinely keen for a battle. Something Wallace liked.

He sighed and let the breeze blow over his face. He smiled at Milotec as she curled around a nearby rock and watched people pass by. The park was a great place for a battle.

Selphie Back in the Swimming Pool

There's a girl draped over the fountain; she's lying backwards across it in a way that doesn't look too comfortable. Slowly, she begins to stir and, eventually she's sitting up. Green eyes open wide as she surveys her surroundings and she tilts her head, not really sure what to make of it. Was it a dream? She rubs her hands into her eyes, as though trying to wake up, but she's still sitting there; the small young woman in the yellow dress. For her next test, she gathers her cheeks between her fingers, pinching them, but she only winces, and leaves small red marks on her cheeks.

'Huh... It's so familiar...'

So she's really there, in this new place, but it could be anywhere. The best thing to do, is to go and explore. So she stretches her legs out in front of her and leaps off the fountain, but her legs are wobbly and there's every chance she might not land on her feet.

{ooc: Selphie's back! For her old buddies - Selphie won't remember everything immediately (since memory is an issue with her, and GFs, etc). If you tell her your name, maybe try to remind her of something that she'll likely remember, then she might come around. Even if she recognises you, it may take a wee bit longer for her to remember the relationship you had - ie, how close or not you were. Hope that makes sense! Unless, of course, you're canon!)

[Akihiko was not going to let a giant black bowling ball prevent him from celebrating Shinjiro's birthday. Even if it did mean celebrating it later than originally planned. Organzing a party wasn't too hard; most of SEES seemed excited about the idea and willing to help out. There was a cake and presents, and even a few surprises (that Akihiko hoped would keep that way until the right time).]

I don't think he's gone out today. There weren't any flower petals on the floor when I had breakfast this morning. We'll surprise him when he comes down.

[Akihiko was weirded out by Shinjiro's strange new 'power' at first, but he figured it wasn't too bad. After all, it helped during the battle. He didn't expect it would linger, though. ~~At least they'd know where he'd been.~~]

[For Akihiko, being sick or injured can be compared to severe punishment. Relaxation is not part of his regular vocabulary. It is also extremely difficult to pacify him with quiet, solitary activities like reading or watching television.

Having broken ribs was alright, or another similar injury. One can still walk and get around with that. But getting shot in the leg is another story. The first night he fell subject to the coral's side effects of healing and slept. But once the restful slumber ended, the books Mitsuru brought him to read could only hold his attention for so long.

Today, he moves slowly and carefully towards the doors after cautiously descending the stairs of the dormitory. It'll get better faster if he walks on it, right? Maybe there's something to cull his boredom nearby.

And hopefully nobody is around to drag him back inside.]

[There was a quiet groan from Shing as he came to all at once; wincing, it takes him for a while to remember just what had happened. They were... ambushed, right? That... that thing, Vanitas? So many of those creatures... Rin...

And then the flash of pain as a sword was driven into him, lingering just long enough to see Kohaku die before he eventually succumbed.

Yeah, he died.

...

... he doesn't want to look or even talk to anyone right now. Shing groans again, placing a hand on his forehead as he stares up at the ceiling. Oddly enough, it wasn't actually dying that bothered him, but watching Kohaku and Rin suffer as he passed, not being able to do anything but watch... he felt like a failure. Well, he was one, for lack of a better term.

One hand moved to feel around for any scars, but he couldn't feel anything. He wasn't sure if that was a blessing or not yet. It didn't really change the fact that he'd died on everyone, failed protecting Kohaku... just failed everything in general.

Did they hate him for it? Of course, they probably did. He wouldn't have been surprised if that were the case... collapsing back onto the bed, he sighed. Why was he never strong enough when these kinds of things happened...?

Sitting up again and attempting to get out of bed, he winced as his body refused to listen, his head swimming from dizziness. The last thing he wanted was to face either of them right now... how was he going to apologize to them for letting them down so badly?]

If you visit the plaza today, Vatheon, you may come across an odd stand. It is definitely not the stand of the welcoming committee, but it is certainly inviting! And colourful!

Like, really colourful. A rainbow may or may not have thrown up on it.

The stand itself is covered in what can scientifically be called a metric shitton of cupcakes. Cupcakes. Cupcakes. God, so many cupcakes. They come in all sizes, colours, and smells. Though overall they do smell good. Really good.

A large sign above the stand happily proclaims --in hand-painted, colourful letters, finished with a royal smattering of glitter-- : CUPCAK-ES ~~OnLy 420 BoOnBuCkS~~ FR--E------E !!!

And the two young trolls attending the stand are ready to take your order. Cupcake anyone?

[OOC: To celebrate 4/20 --cause how could I not?-- Feferi and Gamzee have baked some cupcakes! All in the interest of cross-cultural friendship building and cause baking is kinda aces. They've got four kinds of cupcakes, and you are free to choose whichever your character will get.

Regular cupcakes: These are, well, regular cupcakes! The delicious kind. Lovely frosting, very nice taste, certainly a good thing to eat.

Faygo cupcakes: Oh god who put Faygo in these? Sorta shitty. But not as shitty as--

Oh god what is in these cupcakes: In the interests of catering to everyone's unique dietary needs, and also cause they got kinda silly and wanted to know if they could, Gamzee and Feferi have prepared an array of odd flavoured cupcakes. Ever had a fish cupcakes --is that tuna? dolphin? whale? who can say???-- A meat one? Is that catnip? Oh god what is in these?

Just go wild with whatever might be in these cupcakes. Feferi and Gamzee are very creative.

Sopor cupcakes: Oh no. Gamzee made these for his own private consumption, but somehow they ended up amongst the other cupcakes. Anyway, get one of these bad boys, and you'll be a little more mentally elevated than normal. That is to say high off your frigging rocker. Enjoy. The effects last for no more than three hours, and apart from a mild headache after, they leave no weird side-effects.

Feel absolutely free to threadjack or have multiple cupcakes. Replies can come from either Gamzee or Feferi or both.]

N knows he has been gone for some time. It is like waking up from a very deep sleep, where the dreams you once had were fading blur, yet it was obvious hours upon hours had passed.

He was wearing his old clothes again. He remembers the wind whipping his hair, Hilda's calls before he leapt to Reshiram's back. That memory seems so close and yet so far away.

The boy pushes it out of his mind. It does not matter now.

Italy had finally stopped shaking, thanks to his many friends he'd made here. He hadn't seen any signs of the Boogeyman (read: Grand Highblood) anywhere so it must be safe to go out again.

A few weeks ago, Medic had suggested opening a bakery. There seemed to be interest in it and he even got a partner, a pretty and very sweet mouse queen!

Now there were two questions left in the country's mind:
1. location, location, location
2. cost?
Everything was essentially free here, though Italy had no idea how that even kept their economy alive (Vatheon was anything but impoverish). But giving the baked goods away for free just didn't sit right with him. He could only think of how poor his people had been lately. But money was meaningless here. So the idea of trading for goods sat pretty well in his mind. Bartering was his old way of trading (in his early country days), but that didn't mean he couldn't do it again.

Anyway, he stood in the plaza, staring at the buildings, sketching them out to see what sort of storefront he should have.
