My Heart's a Stereo

Characters: Dave Strider and Jade Harley
Location: Jade's Room; Coral Corral; 6
Time: IDK NOW?! Afternoon I guess
Status: Closed

Dave was thinking about what he told Feferi. God, he's such a hypocritical fuck. He could be doing the same thing with Jade. Except he apparently didn't actually have enough balls available to ask her out again. Which is kind of silly now that he thinks about it.

He'd done it once. Okay, he did it with the help of the curse, but he did nonetheless.

And maybe this Jade would feel the same right?

Wow, was he actually thinking this hard on this? When did he become the lovesick school girl who thought about their sweet nothings on their bed, wasting away, only to watch the person they love get swep-this thought is being aborted.

Dave sat up. No. Fine. He can do this. He swung his legs over the bed and made his way to Jade's room. If he was going to waste an entire morning contemplating this, he might as well just try. At worst, she'll reject him and things might be awkward. But he wasn't going to sit around and actually let this eat at him.

He knocked at her door, before folding his arms over his chest. "Hey, Harley. You got a minute?" Oh hey, his voice didn't crack. This means something positive at the very least. Dear god, you're hopeless Strider.

Jade was still getting use to everything here. Weirdly it all felt more overwhelming than Sbrub ever did. Maybe that was because, at least for a little while, she had been a step ahead of it. Here it was all just so new and different. It was partly excited and partly nerve wracking. But Dave and John were here and that made it easier in the long run. She felt a little restless as she lay sprawled on her new bed. So this place would be home now. A lot less space than what she was use to, pun not intended.

One white dog ear twitched at the sound of Dave's voice. She pushed herself up on her elbows and smiles at him.

"Hi, Dave! Sure. What's up?"
