Once it began, all the grubs disappeared to their respective meteors in the Veil, then as they flew towards the battlefield, Skaia's defense portals caught them and sent them back to the appropriate parts of Alternia's timeline. If, somehow, our grubs had been mixed up and sent to the wrong points, every one of us would be dead now.
