[It was probably a good thing that the locals of Vatheon had a tenancy to be rather... oblivious to their off-world neighbors that dropped in like clock work every month. Most of them went through the typical gamut of reactions - upset, confused, frightened, even angry. But it was rare that one might just pop in and actually be happy. Or excited, really, not to mention standing around in nothing but a set of black and pink-striped jumpers and nothing else.

Admittedly, though, Nagisa Hazuki was just as confused as anyone at going to sleep, exhausted from a very long swim back to the mainland shore where and his friends had been only to wake up on the cold stone floor of a plaza in some unfamiliar city. He was worried, too, since he woke up with none of his friends anywhere near him.

But that was until he looked up to see the water over the bubble, and all of that instantly vanished from his mind.

So if any non-local happened through the plaza today, they might be greeted to the sight of a slight but well fit and shirtless blond, happily staring up at the bubble with his arms spread wide and his eyes practically sparkling.]

[It's not even the shirtlessness that catches Pyunma's attention first, it's the pose. Newcomers appear, soaked and surprised, from all different situations and in all different states. It might even be normal for this person to go around shirtless, though Pyunma thinks he recognizes the look of a bathing suit.

It's just the sheer happiness that he finds strange, and that eventually drives him to approach.]

Is everything all right?

Getting approached and spoken to does snap the boy's attention away from the bubble, though he's practically bouncing with energy.]

Well, I don't know where I am or where my friends are, but that [he points to the bubble] is really amazing! I've always wondered what a city under the ocean would look like and now I know!

Have you not wondered how you would get to a city under the ocean?

[He's caught somewhere between bemusement and amusement, to be responded to so cheerfully. It's not every day that you hear someone so nonchalantly talk about showing up in a new place surrounded by strangers.]

No, not really! I was near the ocean, when I fell asleep. On the beach, actually! Though... I don't think I got pulled out by the tide. Pretty sure Mako-chan or Haru-chan would've grabbed me if that happened...

[Unless they were still asleep, of course. But this is getting Nagisa to focus more on the actual issue of where he is instead of the fact that there's a bubble holding back sea water all around them.]

I guess I should ask where I am... and if anyone has seen my friends.

[Oh good. Though still, he's not sure whether the continued lack of freaking out is a good thing or not.]

Well, I can answer part of that. This place is called Vatheon. It's a city trapped inside a barrier.

[Give it time. Finding out he's there alone is sure to earn a much more subdued and probably sad reaction.]

[He points up once more]

That thing?

[He shakes his head.]

That one is a barrier, but it's not the one we can't pass. There's an elevator up to an island, and you can get to the ocean there. But there's another barrier some distance out that we can't get past.

Ohh...

[Nagisa looks, for a moment, very deep in thought about this. But soon enough an odd smile appears and he laughs in a nervous manner.]

That's something Rei-chan would understand a lot better than me! But uhm... does that mean I can't get back to Iwatobi?

No. None of us are able to choose when we come here, or when we leave. Sometimes people disappear back to where they're from, but if they've done it on purpose, no one has ever shared how.

[It probably isn't going to make Nagisa any less nervous, but it's the truth, and Pyunma doesn't believe in lying to make someone feel better.]

Oh.

[That reply was much shorter than the previous one, and edging on that note of true nervousness and upset creeping up on him. He actively fidgets, thumbs running over fingers as if he needs something to keep his hands occupied but can't find anything for it.]

Gou-kun is gonna be upset that I missed practice...

[And his voice has even gotten quieter, the mutter more to himself than the person speaking to him. He knows there are bigger issues than that, like his family, his sisters, his friends... but he's stuck on focusing on the inconsequential.]

[Hello Nagisa it would seem you have an audience of one right now and a very fuzzy one at that.

He creeps up alongside the fountain, watching Nagisa stare up at the glass dome in his... half-nude state. Weird.]

[scuse you its a bathing suit. That's not half nude, that's perfectly clothed for swimming.

Nagisa obviously doesn't notice the cat right away, though. He's too busy staring in awe at the bubble to realize he himself is being stared at.]

[Hopping up on the ledge now.]

Aren't you even a bit cold like that?

[Will a talking cat get his attention?]

It's a little cold, but the water was colder!

[Of course he's going to answer before looking.

But once he does turn to face the speaker... well... it looks like no one is there.]

... eh? W... was some one speaking just now... ?

[ding dong ur wrong

Night moves over to brush his tail against Nagisa's side.]

Mrow!

[O... kay... now is the time to panic a little. He had considered the possibility of a dream, but no, this was far too real for that. He had also considered insanity, too, but brushed that aside just as quickly.

Until now.]

E... eheh... hello kitty... did you see some one here just a moment ago... ?

[He's talking to a cat like it's going to answer. Yup. Definitely insane.]

Nope. Why, is there something wrong?

[He keeps rubbing up against Nagisa, looking very much like the cat that ate the canary.]

. . . AHHHHHHHHHHH!

[Well that was certainly a shriek. A very high one. And a lot of flailing, stumbling around and eventually falling on his ass.]

T-talking c-cat! Cats can't talk... cats don't talk! This is a dream-- I gotta be dreaming, it's really a dream I feel pain but this has to be a dream--!

[His ears fall back at the screech, but otherwise he looks unperturbed at the outburst.]

Not normal cats, no.

... And this isn't a dream, I can assure you. Do you need help?

[Sorry, Night, it's not about to stop. At the continued talking, Nagisa lets out another squeal that some how dissolves in to absolutely panicked laughter, head shaking frantically as he tries to scoot back along the stone floor of the plaza.]

N-no no this isn't real th-there's a bubble and the ocean a-and a cat that's talking to me and if this isn't a dream then I'm dead! Dead or insane! Uwaaah this can't be happening to me, I'm too attractive and talented to be dead or insane!

[Well hello cute guy. Cute shirtless guy. Minako just cant help but stare slightly before making herself known.]

I've never seen you around before, so you must be new. ,small>[With a smile, she leaned over slightly. He seemed rather happy, didn't he?] For a new guy you seem awfully happy.

[Oops, some one is talking to him!

Nagisa turns with a cute but somewhat oblivious smile.]

Well, I don't really know where I am! But it's beautiful!

[Hello Nagisa, this is Yotsuba leaning over your face and peering at you.

And then there is some prodding, because she's going to poke Nagisa's face to see if he's alive or not.]

Uwaah!

[that sure was a child suddenly in his face

and that sure was a lot of flailing from Nagisa]

[And Yotsuba is startled and steps back.]
