If anyone actually wanders up there, they will find the whole village decorated with strings of light, fish shaped lanterns, streamers, and kelp. Just past the North edge of the Village was a fair.

There was a large stage in the center of the fair, rides, a fortune teller, contests, games, a petting zoo, a fish exhibit, stalls, booths and everything else you can find at a fair.

Yeah, found him back home in a closet at camp and fixed him up. He's pretty cool.

[He shrugs.] I don't know that my "respect" for them has changed any. But I'm not about to complain either.

Mine's on a complicated points system largely dependent on the events that go on in Vatheon. Most of the points are taken and given 'cause of curses.

Yeaaah, I heard something about zombie mermaids from somebody once. Might as well have fallen down a rabbit hole straight into an island version of Wonderland.

Nanaki told me about those. Sounded really creepy. I've encountered some real mermaids at a distance. Wouldn't want to meet a zombie one.

Oh, yeah? What are real mermaids like?

They're not cute. That's for sure. Glowing yellow eyes, shark teeth, leathery skin in one of a bunch of different colors. They seemed pretty scary. Have no clue about their personalities. I saw them sparring with tridents and swords.

...I feel like Disney lied to me all these years.

[He laughs.] Me too, man. They were nothing like I expected. No babes like Ariel. Just fierce looking fish-people.

Damn it. Oh, well. My only consolation is that I liked Belle best.

So you like the bookworm type?

Yep, kicking ass is another qualifier. Better to have a partner than to have someone constantly needing rescuing. I so don't need a personal Lois Lane.

[He also apparently has a thing for cheerful people.]

My type had always been girls who are completely out of my league to the point where they don't even acknowledge I exist most of the time. Which usually just makes me want them more. [He laughs.]

Yeesh. I mostly have a tendency to fall for the ones I'm friends with or who would never be into me in a million years. [Davesprite heaves a dramatic sigh.]

I hear ya, man. But that's okay. Bros before hos, right? [Leo. What even are you saying?]
