◣ Summer Fair ◢

If anyone actually wanders up there, they will find the whole village decorated with strings of light, fish shaped lanterns, streamers, and kelp. Just past the North edge of the Village was a fair.

There was a large stage in the center of the fair, rides, a fortune teller, contests, games, a petting zoo, a fish exhibit, stalls, booths and everything else you can find at a fair.

[If Rarity sparkles, then Kanaya glows both literally and figuratively. No, really, her skin is producing light, AND she's radiating joy at meeting someone like herself. ]

You have no idea just how well I understand that feeling. I've been here for over fifteen months, and in that time I've met maybe three people who you could charitably say have an interest in fashion... and of those, none with the skills to produce anything. Before that...

You must have felt positively alone in that, my dear. But now that we have met, perhaps we might be able to spend even more time together! Ooh, and exchange techniques!

That would be wonderful! I have a workshop in town, in the middle district, if you ever feel like stopping by.

[It's true that she would relish the opportunity to compare notes, but with her background there's a little level of apprehension. This is the first time she's ever met another seamstress... what if she has all sorts of bad habits and she looks like a fool in front of her? At the same time, if that's the case then at least Kanaya would learn that she was making those mistakes. Learning could only be a good thing.]

I even have an extra sewing machine too, so we could do some work together if you'd like. The flooding destroyed my serger but otherwise I'm fully stocked for most any project.

[Rarity circles her front legs in excitement. Oooh, a sewing date! With another seamstress! It is simply to die for!]

Oh, yes, yes, yes! I would adore that very much!

[Now don't mind Rarity coming right up to you, Kanaya, and nuzzling you just a bit.]

We are going to be the best of friends, you and I. I can feel it~

[It's all a little much for Kanaya, but she manages to maintain her composure. Another fashionista. She had been here in vatheon, a place connected to hundreds of worlds, all of which featured more fashion and design than her own, but she never met someone else who really seemed interested... Well, other than Roxy. That human was certainly interested in fashion, but this was someone who creates.]

Of that I certainly would not be surprised. I'm sure we'll have a lot to learn from one another. Designing for different species, at the very least.

[She's never dressed up a pony before, that's for sure. She's never done any sort of quadruped, actually.]
