[Rin didn't have any problem with being honest. It was being forced to be honest that bothered him. Not having any control over what he was saying whenever some one asked a question was irritating on so many levels. The first day he had managed to keep his temper in check by spending time with Kid and Maka, and talking with them he wasn't so bothered by the questions that were asked and answer. But the following morning he found he could only dread the rest of the week. He needed to get some of his aggression out before things got worse.

So he slipped out early morning, checking on the rescued kittens, getting a quick and simple breakfast from the kitchen, and taking his sword up to the island.

It was far more empty than it had been earlier in the month, and quiet, which was good enough for Rin. He'd rather not be seen, arbitrarily taking his aggression out on trees in the forest with his flames and his blade. If he could keep it up for awhile, uninterrupted, he had some hope that he would get through the week without lashing out at anyone.

[What was that about interruptions and lashing out?

Vanitas was already out on the Island to work on his own things when he had felt that power. He had seen the other on the network like the creeper he was and he could tell he wasn't the happiest half-demon. That just made the flame both inviting and concerning. Vanitas had something to say if someone was trying to take out Rin.

He used a portal to cut over to the forest quickly just in time to witness some of the tree abuse.

[Blue flames flickered in the dull light of the early morning, around Rin and on the trees he had lashed out at. His swing stopped short at the voice, forcing him to turn and, much to his chagrin, answer honestly.]

[Vanitas being there was already working at his frayed nerves, but as much as he wanted to deck him in that stupid mask of his, Rin was trying so very hard to not let it go down that path.

[The barking cry came out louder than Rin had intended it to, voice raising in pitch and volume drastically. Head rolling back, he spun around, teeth bared at Vanitas.]
