A Mini Adventure to the Island!~
Who: Selphie and Izumo
When: Backdated to Saturday afternoon, and after her emo anon text.
Where: Up to the Island!
Style: Whichever you like best!
Status: Closed!
So Izumo had friends who'd gone home and he'd said that hanging out with her would help. Despite the fact that she could count on both hands the number of her friends who had disappeared lately, Selphie was only happy to make others happy. Sure, she'd posted that thing with her text, and in some ways she still felt pretty horrible about the whole thing. But so many people had replied, even though they didn't know who had written it, and her fellow residents seemed keen to convince her that having friends and maintaining happy relationships on all levels was important. Izumo had been one of the people to reply to her text too, and though he said he was grateful for the bubble, she felt a little guilty given that he'd had an experience of a disappearance so recently.
Regardless, Selphie turned up at the time that she was supposed to, waiting for Izumo by the elevator. He'd never been up to the island, so Selphie had to be sure that he enjoyed his first trip. He'd said all she needed to bring was a blanket, and sure enough she held over her arms a large red fleece quilt. The weather had been warm lately, so she was dressed accordingly in a yellow sundress. A bag hung over her shoulder, with an extra flask of tea, and some sunglasses just in case. Now all she had to do was wait, since she'd made an effort not to be late, so she stood hugging the blanket to herself, humming gently to herself as she looked around the plaza.

A bag was in his hand, predictably containing the lunch he'd promised to pack for them both.
"Hey Selphie. Hope I didn't keep my lady waiting long."
no subject
Selphie shook her head, "Hi Izumo! Nopes, not long at all." She glanced at the bag in his hand, then towards the elevator, "Ready to see the island?"
no subject
As the elevator carries them up and out of the ocean, he leans against the glass, causally glancing at the various fish that swim by. "You're gonna have to be my tour guide. Haven't even been to the beach back home in a long time."
no subject
"No problem! And you've picked one of the best times to come, cause it's getting more and more like spring up there. It's really pretty!" She smiles brightly, and when they get to the top, she all but skips out of the elevator. Then Selphie spreads out an arm in an elaborate gesture, "Welcome to the island, sir!"
no subject
He wasn't really sure what to expect up here. A big electric fence set up along the beach to keep them from escaping? No. That certainly couldn't be something Selphie would refer to as 'pretty.' Maybe it was just an ordinary beach.

When she finally reached the edge of the sand, Selphie turned back to him, hoping to see that he was enjoying the island so far, "Whaddaya think?"
no subject
"Wow. Don't think I've seen the beach like this in awhile. Been stuck in the big city too long."
There's a pause as he just takes in the scenery. The sounds of the water lapping at the sand, the slight breeze, and the bright shimmer of the water as the sun reflected off the peaks of the waves.
"It's nice."

But eventually she'd be distracted by a shell or two on the sand, and she'd pace over to pick them up and have a look.

He snaps out of it after a minute or two, noticing Selphie had wandered a bit. He catches up to her, peering over her shoulder at the shells she cradled in her hands. "Sorry I drifted off there. Ya wanna spread the blanket out? Have lunch?"
no subject
She sifted through the stuff in her hands, and chose one particularly pretty shell. The rest go back on the beach, but the pretty shell goes towards Izumo, "Yeah, sure!" Once he takes it from her, she can spread out the large red blanket, somewhere further up where the sand is firmer.
