Contrary to popular belief around the bubble, their little truce was not a result of Rin trusting him. A part of him kind of wished it could be that way, sure. He'd made friends with so-called enemies before. But he knew better. He knew what Vanitas was capable of and for him it really was more about "I don't push his buttons he doesn't push mine" and finding some tentative level of peace amongst the occasional harassing.
