The Doctor Arrives (again)
Who: The Doctor and You
Where: Standard Plaza Drop
When: Late Morning, just before Noon, November 24th
Style: Brackets preferred but I'll match
Status: OPEN
[A rather damp man in a tweed dress jacket and red bow-tie suddenly appears in the plaza next to the corral.
He spins around quickly, observing and taking in the scene before him in a rush of information.
He runs his hand through his hair nervously only to discover that it is wet.]
I'm wet. [He brings his hand down from his head and inspects it. Sniffs it. Then tastes it.]
Correction. [He looks down at the rest of himself and flaps his jacket out a few times as if to get rid of the excess liquid. He begins to straighten his bow-tie.] I'm soaked... [There is a pause.] with salt-water.
And I'm inside a bubble under an ocean next to an enormous piece of coral.
Ooookay. [He claps his hands together and tilts his head to one side and then the other.]
No TARDIS in sight. [He checks his pockets.] Sonic accounted for, that's good. [He removes his sonic screwdriver and takes a reading. There is a green light and an electric buzzing noise for a few seconds. It turns off and he flips the device up to his eyes to inspect the data.]
Well I haven't mis-aimed. There is certainly something odd about this place.
[He places the sonic screwdriver back in his waterlogged pocket.]
So here's a question. [He continues to talk to himself and walks in a semi-circle around the coral.]
Why does this feel oddly familiar?

He holds it out in his hand, enough for her to take a good look but not enough to implicate he's giving it to her.]
A sonic screwdriver. Do you like it? [He grins.]
no subject
I do, I do! ...what does it do?
no subject
Unless it happens to be something with wood. [He frowns and scratches his head.]
I haven't been able to quite fix that little issue.
But, here! I'll show you.
[He aims his sonic screwdriver at the nearby fountain. The green light goes on, the humming starts, and a few seconds later water is spraying out of it in every direction.]
no subject
[Well, she guess even Equius has trouble with wood if you consider all the bows he breaks by mistake, so she can let that one go. And then...ooh! She squeals with laughter yet again and ducks behind him, using him as a shield from the spray. Miss kittytroll doesn't like getting wet.]
That's pawesome! Do something else!

[She peers out around him, curious.]
I've never ever seen anything like it before.
no subject
[He aims it at the towel, and the flame goes out. He aims it back at the fountain and it returns to normal.]
I never leave the TARDIS without it. One of my best inventions.
no subject
[She finally stops hiding behind him now that there's no chance of getting sprayed with water.]
What's a TARDIS?
no subject
[He settles on the last description.]
It stands for time and relative dimension in space. Pretty cool right?

[He tries to change the subject.]
You've traveled through space on a meteor?
no subject
no subject
You.
traveled through space.
on a meteor.
[He smiles.]
That's brilliant.
no subject
Heehee, yes, yes, I suppaws that it is! And on the meteor there was this great big labratory too!
no subject
In fact, one of the best dogs I ever had came from a laboratory on a meteor.
no subject
...there are barkbeasts in laboratories on meteors?! [She looks very unsure about this! Dogs and kittytrolls aren't exactly on the best of terms with each other.]
no subject
[He smiles.]
This one never barked. In fact, he never ate or... had to deal with the end process of eating. He was a robot.
[He sighs.]
I miss him sometimes.
no subject
[She beams back at him. Really, life on the meteor hadn't been all that bad, especially after sweeps of living on her own in her cave.]
Oh, oh, I know robots! My moirail builds them. One of them's a friend of mine! His name is Roboequius and we play lots together. I brighten him up with lots of stickers and paint too...but Equius always scrape them off for him afterwards. That's okay, though, it means we can just start all over again the next time.
no subject
I have to admit, I'm not quite sure what a moirail is either.
no subject
A moirail is like, hmmmm, let's see...a soulmate? Someone you trust forever and who'll always look after you and you'll always look after them and keep them safe and stop them from doing things they shouldn't. They're your bestest friend ever!
no subject
I like the sound of that.
no subject
Moirails are the most awesome thing ever, oh yes.
no subject
I'm the Doctor.
[He holds out his hand.]
no subject
[She takes his hand in her small blue-gloved one, shaking it vigorously.]
I'm Nepeta!
no subject
[He returns the shake just as energetically.]
So I gather that you were taken from your lab and plopped down here in this underwater city, much like I have been.
