[It sure is a nice evening in Vatheon, isn't it? Nice. Quiet. Peaceful. Maybe you're just looking for a relaxing night after that foreigner hosted Thanksgiving party.

Well, if you happen to be in the Plaza, you'll be treated to a young man with a beam sword suddenly appearing out of thin air (soaked), right in the middle of a lunging stab and screaming at the top of his lungs--]

DIE!



[ooc: p.s. it's perfectly fine to be in the line of Shulk's attack; his beam sword can't hurt people and will pass harmlessly through them. Shulk, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of crashing headlong into people.]

[The sword, the Monado, is... made out of something. Shulk wouldn't know what, but it certainly isn't metal. The Monado stays firmly in his hands, still emitting light.

The anger that had been directed at the faced Mechon turns to the new adversary. He's confused about the disappearance of the faced Mechon, but he's just so angry that anything outside his rage is not registering properly. Is that a new kind of Mechon? Magneton looks like a machine to Shulk, and the fact that the Mechon assault on his hometown had new Mechon he's never seen before makes this new machine look suspiciously like a Mechon.

Shulk's so fixated on hurting the new Mechon in place of the faced on that he doesn't notice Silver when he swings the Monado at Magneton with a incoherent yell.]

[Magneton moved back out of the way with something of of a grunt before electricity arcs at its attacker. It's not even an attack, just a warning really. The Magneton floated to the side, all three eyes focused on the threat while Silver's eyes narrowed as he assessed the situation.

Arceus on a pogostick, he really wasn't expecting the newcomer to take a swing at his pokemon, but so be it. His eyes narrowed and while he drew his sword, he hung back, free hand gesturing to his pokemon to ready a thunder wave.] Tch, Looking for a fight? Fine.

[The crackling electricity still stings, compounded by his damp clothing, eliciting a choked cry of pain from Shulk. It's obvious Shulk's exhausted; his breathing's heavy and his sword swing had been clumsy.

He's about ready to attack again when, in his mind, time slows down and-- -- he sees himself running forward and the Mechon fires a ball of paralysing electricity at him. There's a Homs behind it with a sword, but he doesn't take the opportunity to attack the Mechon -- --the vision snaps him out of his rage. His attention goes to the person next to what Shulk had thought was a Mechon. A Homs, working with Mechon? But why? Unless...

Shulk's already within swinging range (the Monado has a really long beam, after all) but after he dodges the electric discharge -- he puts what little remaining energy into avoiding it -- Shulk doesn't attack, backing off instead. The sword is still in his hands though. Warily--]

Are you working with the Mechon?

Mechon? Is that some new name for Mangeton? [Silver gave an incredulous look, noting how his opponent had managed to dodge the thunderwave even after being shocked. Hmph. Not bad, given that it had been a warning, with the next aimed to paralyse.] Tch no, I own the thing.

[His smirk is somewhat nasty and he's still on guard, the pokemon hovering near him silently. His own sword's held loosely, not yet in a guard or attack position, but it's clear that Silver at least knows how to use it Just not as much as his ego claims.]

[He's a Homs yet he doesn't know what Mechon are? The incredulity shows on his face. But Shulk's squashing down those thoughts of revenge and it processes what was said. So it's a defensive machine owned by this guy, not a Mechon.

...Shulk can't help but feel robbed. Robbed of his chance to make the Mechon pay for what they did.

But it's not fair to take it out on this stranger, so he reluctantly lowers his weapon and deactivates it.]

Sorry. I thought...

[He shakes his head, trying to clear his thoughts. He's still upset, but he tries to focus on the situation at hand.]

Never mind. Where am I?

Tch. Whatever a Mechon is, my pokemon ain't it. [Only when the sword is sheathed does Silver sheath his own then recall the pokemon in a flash of red light, clipping the pokeball back on his belt.] Vatheon, bubble under the sea and home to stupid curses.

[A shrug.] Most of them are harmless, some are humiliating. [And some make you do things you don't want to, but he's not bring that up. Ever.]

[asdf;lkj what just happened!! Shulk holds his head with his free hand. Under... the sea...? The endless sea in which the Bionis stands in? Is this something that the Monado did? He doesn't understand most of the things this stranger just said.

He involuntarily shivers, reminding him he's still in damp clothing. He's going to get sick if he stays like this. He already feels horrible. There's no need to make it worse. He lowers his hand.]

Do you know where I can get dry?

[Silver considers for a moment, then shrugs. His pride isn't wounded enough that he'll deny the stranger a towel, at least.] Yea, my boss keeps spare towels at the cafe.

[And he turns and starts walking to the place he works at, hands in pockets, seemingly not worried that the stranger might attack again.]

[For good reason; Shulk has absolutely no desire to attack Silver. Towels are a start, but a change of clothes would be better. But that's something that can come later. Shulk follows Silver, staying silent for a while to sort through his thoughts. He's in what looks like a Homs settlement that's definitely not Colony 6 and there's no Mechon, but no Reyn, no Dunban...

...no Fiora.

It's hard not to linger on those memories -- "The breeze feels so good. I wish every day could be like this, always" -- but he manages to shove them aside to focus.]

[He gives the stranger a weak smile.]
