Tidus is pretty much wandering around aimlessly; that's why he finds himself in the Nostalgia Nook. Since he's there, he figures he might as well find out if they have anything related to Blitzball around...until he sees Squall. Distracted, he forgets what he was doing, and goes to approach him.
