But not Demyx, despite his boyfriend being older, so he's decided that it's time for a little investigating! Mystery of the Exploding Faeries.]

[As the elevator takes them up to the island, Lea grins and nudges Demyx's ribs with his elbow.]

[Giving Demyx's hand a squeeze, he starts to tug him along with no set goal in mind.]

[Lea trails off as he steps over a couple of roots that peek over the ground. It's when he ducks beneath a branch that he speaks up again.]

Do you think the faeries leaving us is a sign those scientists don't need us anymore?

If they don't need us, don't you think they'd be sending people back?

I don't wanna lose you just cuz they're done with us.

They might just be lazy. I mean, they sure didn't seem to care much when they yanked us all from our homes, right? Might not mean much to them if we just... stay here.

[Pausing, Lea rubs the back of his neck.]

M'not sure if that bugs me as much as I think it should.

Call it selfish, but I'd rather keep you here. Even--Even with all the screwed up stuff that happens, I dunno if I'd be able to handle it if they just threw you back home.

I'm kind of torn... I mean, I've heard over and over again what happens if I go back. People have said not to fight fate, or whatever...

But... [Awkwardly, Lea looks away and shoves his free hand into his pocket.] I still want to see my mom and dad again. My family. Isa, too. It's still home...

I know. And... And if you really wanna go back, I won't stop you in the end. I'd go back with you if I could but there's nothing really there for me, y'know? I mean, I really wanna meet your folks 'n all that, but... Ah, you know.

_{[He lifts their hands to kiss Lea's knuckles.]}
