As Ventus fell asleep, Cadence caught him. He felt Ventus's weight and understood then that he'd been upset all along. He felt, then, that he shouldn't have said all that, and focused instead on how Ven had been feeling instead. He was either tired, or hurt, or maybe both.
Until he knew any better, hopefully in the morning, Cadence resolved to take care of Ventus. He put his arm around him first to make sure he was sound asleep.
"I'm glad you like it. Because you gave it to me."
All he could think to do was pick Ventus up and carry him back to the apartment they'd once shared. From that far away, he wasn't sure he could walk it - so he summoned a Dark Corridor as he stood up. Walking through it meant that he could take about six steps before depositing Ventus in the bed that had once been his.
