[Akihiko was not going to let a giant black bowling ball prevent him from celebrating Shinjiro's birthday. Even if it did mean celebrating it later than originally planned. Organzing a party wasn't too hard; most of SEES seemed excited about the idea and willing to help out. There was a cake and presents, and even a few surprises (that Akihiko hoped would keep that way until the right time).]
I don't think he's gone out today. There weren't any flower petals on the floor when I had breakfast this morning. We'll surprise him when he comes down.
[Akihiko was weirded out by Shinjiro's strange new 'power' at first, but he figured it wasn't too bad. After all, it helped during the battle. He didn't expect it would linger, though.
At least they'd know where he'd been.]

open - threadhop & theadjack away[ after the kicked up damage wrought by yami in the south forest quadrant settles down and becomes surveyable by monday, characters are in for a little— or, well, a big surprise that is the secret research facility. the entrance of it is easy enough to find, thanks to the destruction— although a lot of the research facility itself is destroyed as well. the power still works, at least! although whatever network it had seemingly been hooked up to is currently (and likely permanently) offline.
near the ENTRANCE of the facility, characters will likely find a very large chart on one of the walls— it resembles a map with handwritten annotations and will undoubtedly prove useful in further exploration. there's nothing else interesting near the entrance, sans for a few empty desks and a trash bin full of what appears to be torn up employee information of some sort. the other areas that can be found will be as follows:
↪ pretty self-explanatory, although they are extremely minimalistic and completely abandoned. it's likely that the scientists made use of these— some of the beds seem a bit unkempt, as though they were recently used; whereas some rooms have full garbage bins with various papers. many of them are unuseful or flat-out irrelevant, others appear to be outdated schedule data— the dates on most of the papers seem to be from a little over a year ago. basically, the bins are filled with what they were made for— trash.
↪ deeper into the facility, it's obvious that quite a lot of research had been being conducted within— multiple rooms seem to be arranged for just that purpose. most of the rooms are empty or have a lot of strewn tools within them as though they were emptied in a hurry. although one room in particular was left as it was; it's both locked and blocked off though, and might take a little force in order to get into. once inside, a completely white room will be found that might feel familiar to people who had been directly involved in a strange event that had happened quite a while ago... the room is slightly less white than any "experiments" might remember, however. in fact, there seems to be quite a bit of dried blood about the place. the blood can be found on nearly everything in the room— the table accompanied with surgical tools, the cabinet filled with both syringes and old vials of a blue fluid, and a prominent list visible on one of the walls.
↪ one lab in particular found further within the facility appears to be bigger and better than all the others— it's also the only lab with a multitude of computers. due to the power being on, computers will be responsive— although because whatever network they once runned on is no longer online, the only data accessible is offline data found within any harddrives or memory devices.
and there is plenty of that. however, any data found is heavily encrypted and unlike anything ever seen before, so even a normally excellent hacker will have a problem getting past the security walls; and the only file that can be opened immediately seems to make no sense whatsoever:
furthermore, nearly everything resembling paper evidence has been torn or shredded, as evident by the completely empty and ajar file cabinets— not to mention the fact that there are plenty of scraps of unreadable paper strewn across some parts of the floor.
↪ in the deepest part of the lab is a peculair hallway that seems to drop downward— which is curious, since the facility is located so closely on the edge of the island itself. although everything becomes clear should one reach the room near the end of the lowering hallway— a majority of the equipment is damaged, but it is indeed a submarine exit of some sort. could this be how all of the scientists left so suddenly..? in fact, most of the submarines are missing— sans for one, but it's quite old and probably nonfunctional in its current state. you're fully allowed to try and fix it, but it will take both a team of people and several weeks.
↪ also in the deeper part of the facility, although closer to the main lab than the submarine exit, is a completely closed off area— mechanical doors and a digital lock that seems to be online block all from entering. the door seems to open automatically for a keycard, but there's also an emergency override function— that activates via a password. blinking in an almost mocking fashion, it prompts you:

Who: Shinjiro and You
Where: Wandering confused in the plaza
When: July 29th
Style: Starting with prose but feel free to switch to action and I will match up
Had to be the drugs.
At least that's what he told himself as he continued to walk, his shoes making noise from the water buildup. His hat did little to protect him from the pouring rain, and his hair was already stuck around his neck. His coat was in no better shape and he grunted as he idly put his hands in his pockets, walking along confused. The coat hid his hospital outfit well...considering upon waking up, Shinjiro had remembered the promise they had made, and his first thought wasn't to get properly dressed, but to grab what he could from his room and make a dash for the school.
...only to end up here. Really, it had to be the drugs. He'd managed to catch a date on his way out, and he knew it had been a while. Maybe painkillers with a a side effect. Who the hell knew. But he'd certainly wake up any minute now.
Strange how it felt so real...he looked up to the sky before sighing.
"Tch. Think I'd be done with dreaming after so long..."
Who: Minako Arisato and YOU!
When: July 23rd, evening
Where: Wandering through this plaza!
Style: Brackets for me to start; whatever you want to go on.
Status: Open like a store on Black Friday!
[So, Vatheon, a red-headed girl, dripping wet, is peeling off her wet orange sweater in the middle of the plaza.
For some reason, she doesn't seem all that surprised to be here. Nor does she seem particularly mortified to be stripping down to her skivvies in the middle of this place. She does, however, seem very curious about it all.
Expecting to be dead might have something to do with that.
She's found her starfish communicator, though, and is alternately playing with it, trying to get it to work, while looking around and trying to accost locals. They don't seem particularly inclined to help her. Maybe it's the attire.
Maybe you can be of more help...? If you don't go up to her, she'll go up to you:]
Excuse me, but do you have a minute?
Who: Takaya and OPEN.
When: Evening, the 22nd.
Where: The Coral.
[The last thing he had remembered was pain - pain and the voices of the members of SEES around him. Death was close, and Nyx was coming. She would bring her salvation to everyone.]
[And yet… he feels somewhat damp. That is strange - strange enough that he opens his eyes and looks around. He seems to be in a plaza - but that cannot be. He was dead, even if they had managed to stop her - which was impossible no matter what they believed. No matter how much he wished to make sure her arrival was prepared… he was unable to stop them.]
[At least he would have some peace… though it appears now that he is denied it for the moment. He feels in his pocket, clasping his hand around the pills. There aren't many left. Why would he have need of them where he was going? But in this situation… this could be a problem.]
[He snatches up his gun and shrugs his shoulders, attempting to gain feeling back in them where they are starting to go a little numb and cold. He will explore this place… and find the answers that he seeks.]
Who: Imouto and Nato-nii
Where: Tiir and Guriko's apartment!
When: Mid-day, around lunch time
Style: [ this one
idk i forget the name ]
Status: Closed, sorry!
[ Since Guriko asked Minato to come over for lunch one day, she's been working endlessly to make sure everything is perfect for his arrival. Actually cleaning up was the first to happen; sweeping, dusting, washing dishes, and making her bed for once. Once that was taken care of, she needed to get some junk food, since she knows how Minato loves all that. Potato chips, oreos, burgers, and soda. Tiir might cringe when he sees the wrappers.
But now all that was left was for Minato to arrive, and Guriko would be lying if she said she wasn't excited. It's not everyday she gets to spend time with someone she loves as much as her Nato-nii
( Actually it is everyday since she lives with Tiir-nii, but I digress. )
He'll be here any minute, and Guriko is just pacing from one side of the apartment to the other, waiting for his arrival. Excited!!!! ]
Who: Ryu and EVERYONE! Seriously.
When: Today, all day.
Where: Up on the beach at the island!
[It had been a while since he had gone to do it… so today was the day. Bright and early, Ryu grabbed his fishing pole and some bobbers and a bag and headed up to the island. Once there, he looked around the beach and headed over to a spot that looked good, casting his line out.]
[As the day goes on, the pile of fish in his bag grows bigger. There's mostly just little ones, but there's a few big ones too! At around midday he cooks a few for dinner, and then in the evening he's slowly nodding off with his fishing pole in his hands, the embers of his campfire glowing near him.]
[What do, Vatheon?]
Who: Guriko and you!
When: Afternoon (slightly backdated because I took forever with this...)
Where: The Plaza
Style: [ this one!!!! ]
[ It's very possible to miss Guriko when she arrives in Vatheon, since she is a very small girl curled in the fetal position and placed in a relatively well-hid place--that is, a small shadowy corner in the large Plaza.
She also isn't moving. At all.
A close eye might catch the fact that there are scratches and bite marks all along her body--her arm in a sling and bandages around her neck and chest. Obviously in pretty bad shape, and not breathing.
Dead? Not quite.
In a couple minutes, Guriko's big red eyes open up wide, and she looks around at her surroundings with some sort of incredible fear. After a moment she relaxes, slumping against the corner she hid in. With a little trouble she stands, and starts limping to the coral.
Help a girl out? ]

Whatever works! We’ll follow!Status:
OPEN[When Minato and Yukari went on a walk that morning, as wasn’t all that unusual for them. It was a nice sense of normality for the two of them, even if it was a bubble with fish instead of sky. They were talking a different route this time, which is why things got a little strange when they were suddenly accosted.
Or rather, Yukari was.
The rather insistent native grabs her arm and tugs and says, “Please, you have to help us!” and SEES being SEES, they can’t just leave a plea for help like that.
Except it turned out to be more a plea for “services”. Services being a maid outfit. In a maid cafe.
At first it was just Yukari, who hardly looked pleased with the idea, despite finding the pink variety of maid outfits they offered very cute. But then she turns to Minato.] H-Hey-- you’re not leaving, are you? If I’m doing this, you should help them, too![Her eyes look pleading. Except that is exactly what he’d planned on doing--
Leaving, that is.]...Ah. Well--[He doesn’t get to say much more before the eager natives grab him too--and since the natives are a bit rusty on proper maid cafe decorum, he ends up in a similar outfit (thankfully not pink). But he doesn’t look too happy about it. Not that he has much of a choice.
So now Yukari and Minato are stuck in a maid cafe. In maid uniforms.
You know you want to join them.
ooc: You’ll likely get both Yukari and Minato responding to tags to this post! ♥]
Walter and youWhere:
[Walter treats today like any other day, seeing as how the event revolving around it is none of his concern. And today he pays the Nostalgia Nook a visit, though he's not particularly wealthy in StarFish Tokens, wading through the small crowd of children playing at the park to the heart of the shops. This time, one shop of familiar colors catches his attention, and the peddler behind the booth beckons him to come closer. On the display are a few samples not unlike Walter's attire.
The peddler says something or another about what a coincidence it must be, but Walter is more preoccupied with the pamphlet nearby. He takes it.
Shining BlueThis is outdated.
Land encompassed by a shimmering ocean [ . . . ] This shop reflects the culture of mythological creatures.
The peddler offers in an outstretched hand an orange earring like pair on Walter's left ear. He shakes his head, and says maybe a little coldly,
I don't need it.
[Sometime after that, he'll be wandering around to familiarize himself with what's there tonight, glimpsing at the occasional pamphlet the stores shove onto him; there may very well be a chance he's looking at one about your world.
]( ooc: Feel free to write vague blurbs on what might be found on the pamphlet for your character's world at his/her respective store! )
