Who: Bro Strider, Dirk Strider, Roxy Lalonde.
When: Friday, August 16th.
Where: The Strider pad.
[A week and a half ago, Bro Strider had fallen into a magical coma, the likes of which only Vatheon could provide. After the initial disbelief from a certain younger alternate self, his unconscious body had been tracked down and taken to the comfort of his own apartment. Because no Strider belonged in the specialized coma ward, not so long as there was family to watch over him.
Not that Davesprite's doing such a great job of guarding him while he's out cold. Slumbering silently on the futon that serves as his bed, he's completely defenseless against any pranksters that may choose to invade his room. And they will.]
Who: Sola and Vatheon
When: The wee hours of the morning
Status: Open to all CR great and small!
[At first the Hylian doesn't recognize where he is.
There's a heavy and wild intake of breath as if he doesn't expect for his lungs to expand. He scrambles for the nearest cover, nearly bowling over a hapless towel vendor in the process. He merges into the shadow of a building, nothing visible aside from piercing red eyes as he finally pauses to take in his surroundings, tense and suspicious.
What had Link done? He'd thought he'd been done for, that Ganon's resurrection was a failure purely because again he hadn't been able to spill the hero's blood. And he'd had so much time to plan, to send minions and monsters after him all along, to observe and prepare. But maybe that had been the problem, he'd waited too long. He should have attacked at the beginning when he'd been- well, not weak, he'd still defeated the Demon King, but when Link had his guard down during the reconstruction...
Dark Link's train of thought grinds to a halt as he finally connects where he is, as the jumble of memories he'd ignored suddenly appearing in his mind in favor of adrenaline still surging from his life or death battle start to sort themselves out slowly. They're hardly finished, but he knows this place now. He recognizes it.
Still standing in the shadows but no longer a part of them, Dark Link just stares.
Who: Dirk and Open
When: the afternoon
Where: Near the Library
Style: Starting prose, but I'll follow.
Today has been a day of training for Dirk.
Not his usual style of training, with a sword or even the puppets he occasionally uses to fight. Nor has he gone somewhere like the forest or the island which have plenty of open spaces appropriate for sparring. Instead, he's spent the day sitting by the front steps of the library. He isn't wearing the shirt emblazoned with an orange hat that is his usual choice, either. Instead, he's wearing a maroon shirt with a pink heart emblazoned on it.
He's also got a stack of books beside him that he appears to be making his way through. By the afternoon, he's been working all day to no effect, so he sets the most recent tome aside and leans back against the steps to get the crick out of his neck. "How the fuck do you even define a soul, anyway." He apparently isn't paying attention to where he is, because the comment is more than loud enough to be heard by anyone passing by.
Who: Bro, Dirk, and any heroes of Vatheon who come across them
When: Throughout the day Saturday
Where: "hero cafe" to start, then around Vatheon
Style: brackets to start
Status: First option closed for Dirk and Bro. Others are open!
[Those familiar with Dirk Strider this week might know that he isn't fond of wearing shades, but today he's wearing a hard-to-miss pair everywhere he goes. The shades mask his expression, but there's more to it than that. His movements are jerky and sudden, as though he's being pulled around by little strings. He strides through the streets of Vatheon with none of his usual casual air. He's on a mission, and he has no time for anyone who gets in his way.
That mission is taking him toward one of the banks that litter the city, then into it. As he shoves his way in through the doors, he pulls out a gun, and points it at the patrons.]
This is a heist. Put your hands up, and give over your money.
Seems like crime has taken a step up from just purse-snatching or someone stealing forty cakes when no one was looking. Those with a great sense of hearing or who happen to be at the wrong place at the right time will find that the good people of Vatheon are in danger. It's up to anyone who is willing to help to work together to save the day!( Something is happening in the lower district! )( Something is happening in the middle district! )( A string of crimes happening all over the City! )( Something is happening on the Network! )[They may also wind up stumbling or following a goon back to the actual secret base to listen in on a meeting at their own risk. Good luck!
((If you are open to being threadjacked, then please put Open in your subject line. If you have an idea already and want to play it out with a particular group of people, then please put Closed in your subject. Thank you.
Have fun playing out the scenarios, and feel free to drop a note in the subject line if Carol or the hotel owners are needed or if you believe characters may have solved the riddle! The location of the bombs is random and characters are encouraged to locate and defuse them on their own.))

Who: Rose & anyone
Where: near the coral in the plaza
Style: Starting with prose, but brackets are cool too.
Rose's first thought when arriving at Vatheon was that she'd somehow blacked out before they entered the new session. But one look around at all the actual people walking around was a sign that she was not in SBURB, a dream bubble or
Kansas on the meteor anymore. Wherever it was that she was now currently located, she was soaking wet in her orange and yellow god tier outfit, on the ground and pretty damn drunk.
And Kanaya wasn't here with her. In fact, at this very moment, there wasn't anyone she recognized. So not only was she in somewhere completely unexpected, she was separated from her matesprit and her friends. Her head was starting to throb and she could use another drink about now. Might make all of this easier to deal with.
That's when she noticed the welcoming brochure on the ground next to her and reached out for it.

Who: Leo Valdez, and anyone coming to his birthday party!
When: July 4th
Where: Coral Corral 8, Demigod house
Style: Pick what you'd like.
Status: Open like Leo's presents will be
Today is the kind of day for a party. A birthday party. But not the birthday of a country, or anything, that would just be stupid, especially when there's no USA in Vatheon (The only country is Italy). No, today is Leo's birthday, and this is a surprise party for him.
There's a lot of planning and preparation that's gone into this. The inside of the house is covered in decorations, all thankfully not fish themed. There's a table for presents, and a table with food, including an enormous cake. There's even a birthday playlist in the background, though "You're A Grand Old Flag" seems to have gotten mixed in here and there.
A surprise party isn't complete without a surprise at the beginning, so when Leo gets into the house, everyone had better be ready to shout "surprise!" Other than that, though, there isn't much structure to the party. People are free to mingle, get food, give Leo presents in person, or get angry at him for all those pranks he pulled.
Who: Bar HOMRA residents (Anna, Mikoto, Shiro, Tatara) (+ Ronald Knox) and YOU!
When: Curse week, even during the day.
Where: Bar HOMRA and just outside
Style: [action pls]
What: Curse week shenanigans + an open Bar post
Bar HOMRA's doors are always open to anyone who feels they need a bit of a drink. Nothing's changed about that, even after Izumo left.
This week, though, there's something a bit different outside the door: Anna. If she knows you or you look nice (or are wearing red or look friendly) and you look cold, she will grab your hand and tug insistently until you go into the bar with her.
Why? Because Tatara and King are getting cold too, since Tatara isn't exactly reserved with affectionate contact with his friends. They're the Red Clan. They like being warm. They will make sure you're warm too, if it means they'll be warm.
If you're really interested in a drink, there is a bartender still. If you really want, he'll help you keep warm. He's lonely and in need of hugs after all.
So come and get a drink later in the day, or get warmed up at any time. It's not like they keep regular sleeping hours. Just don't try to eat the fish.
((ooc: If you want a certain person, specify! Otherwise at least Tatara will say something \o\))
