It's not exactly unusual to see Roxas in the vicinity of the ice cream shop. He's probably one of its top customers, aside from the not-having-to-pay part.

What is a little unusual is that he's eating... strawberry ice cream. It's gotten to the point where he doesn't have to say what flavor he wants, but this time the lady at the counter gave him something different, remarking she heard it was his favorite. He's overheard a few similarly strange things from the natives, but mostly harmless stuff about people he doesn't know and he dismissed most of it.

Anyway, there's nothing wrong with trying new things, right? Actually, strawberry's not bad.

((Another rumor going around which Roxas hasn't heard is that he likes kissing folk. Vanitas sure got all the important parts out of that diary. So be forewarned your character may be subjected to kissing... on the cheek.))

[Well, he thinks of everyone as his brothers and sisters! But Roxas probably means the more specific kind, like him and Sora. So Chibi sets about painting pictures, cute little ink drawings of young animals with red marks like his own: three mice, two seahorses, three penguins, four boars, one horse, two monkeys, one snake, two whales, and a tiger.

Those are all of them! That he knows, anyway. Mom knows some brush strokes that he doesn't, yet...]

Those are all...? Uh...

[How does a dog have.. seahorses for siblings...? Or any of them? His mom is a dog..

Maybe they're adopted? Or maybe it works differently with gods or something. Either way he's not really sure how to ask, or if he'd even get a comprehensible answer, so he doesn't.]

...that's a big family.

Arf! [He knows! But they're his, and he loves them. He draws a little picture of himself next, then draws a sun above it. Because he's Little Sun, right? He proceeds to draw symbols for the rest, symbolizing what power they have-

Mice: a sword
Boars: a bomb
Horse: a little swirly Q (well, it means wind to him)
Monkey 1: a tree
Monkey 2: a lily pad
Snake: an upward spout of water
Whales: a magnet
Tiger: a lightning bolt

He hesitates at the seahorses and penguins, unsure how to draw the abilities they represent in one simple symbol. His puzzlement is pretty evident.] Woo...

[Roxas watches, trying to follow, but the sun might have given him the wrong idea.]

...are those their names?

[Some names are probably hard to draw, huh?]

[Chibi tilts his head to the side, pondering the question. It's not what he meant, but Roxas isn't exactly wrong, either. Their names are a bit more literal than his.

So he nods, then shakes his head, then lifts his paw and tilts it side to side. Sort of! That's sort of it!]

Uh...

[Yes, no... wobbly paw?

Roxas is not sure how to interpret this.]

It- is for some of them?

[And another nod! Roxas has pretty much got the right idea, as best as Chibi can pantomime anyway.

Maybe he should create some signals with everyone the next time he's human... But that'd make things too easy, and he thinks these guessing games are kind of fun.]

[Oh, he actually got that right? Maybe he's better at this than he thought.

Still.]

It must be a lot easier talking with them.

[sonlight]

Arf! [It really is! And then his ears droop a little as he hangs his head, nudging one of the images with his nose as the ink fades away.

He misses them.]

[Roxas hesitates and then reaches down to pet Chibi on the head.]

Guess I'm- actually lucky there. Most of my friends are here.

[sonlight]

Woof! [That's true! And Chibi likes Roxas' friends, at least the ones he's met so far.

Chibi's made a lot of great friends here, too! Enough so that he only feels a little lonely when he thinks about the ones still at home.]

[Roxas notices how he seems to perk up at that.]

I bet you have a lot of friends here, too, by now.

[sonlight]

[Yep! And he toddles over, jumping up next to Roxas and grinning brightly at him.

Friends like you!]

[Roxas gives him a good scritch behind the ears and then after a moment thinks to offer his ice cream. He's down to the cone now but there's some good bites left.]

You wanna finish it off?

[sonlight]

[!!!]

Arf! [He happily accepts, scarfing down the last of the cone in a matter of seconds. He's got ice cream all over his face now, but he looks satisfied.]

[Roxas laughs a bit at his enthusiasm and the resulting mess.]

You might wanna lick your face.

[sonlight]

[Aw gross, it's all over isn't it? He spends a moment licking what he can of his muzzle...

Did he get all of it??]
