Barging into people's apartments is a sign of affection.
Who: Otoha and Johnny
Where: Johnny's apartment
When: Night timeish
Style: Action~
Status: Closed~ <3
[After a few days, conversations with friends, and a day spent baking non-stop with Fai, Johnny was feeling better. Really.
It wasn't surprising people didn't believe him when he said he was okay with Rayfell and Chris leaving, he wouldn't believe himself either. But he was. It was sad, but it was for the best; they were better off without him.
And he was happy here.
The vampire was sprawled out on his couch, Minea curled up on his chest, with his eyes closed. About the only thing he could complain about right now was the fact he was exhausted and that....sick feeling was back. The one that told him stale human blood from blood-packs wasn't doing it for his body.
Well, tough.
He knew it was because he'd been running around non-stop for a while, plus having fed Ky and Fai when they'd needed blood...it wasn't surprising, but it was annoying and painful. He didn't want to ask for help.]

[It didn't take him too long to find Johnny's building, and he climbs up the side, and perches on his window, knocking on the glass.]
Hey. Open up.
no subject
Lifting Minea to his shoulder, he stood and went to open the window.]
Otoha? What are you doing coming in through my window? You're not an incubus and forgot to tell me, right~?
no subject
[He heads inside, and closes the window behind him.]
I wanted to check on you. How are you doing?
no subject
[Really, Otoha. :|]
Hmnnn....that's nice of you. I'm fine~ I didn't realize you were the mother-hen type, Otoha~
[Have a vampire leaning riiiiight up into your face.]
no subject
[... He just stares back with a lineface.]
You're not fine. You sound tired. Don't lie to me, Johnny.
no subject
I'm not lying, Otoha~~ I feel perfectly fine and dandy~ I baked aaaalll day the other day, remember~?
no subject
Johnny.
[Nothing else, just his name. He's worried, but he doesn't know how to show it - so just doing this is all he knows how to do.]
When was the last time you fed?
no subject
Still, he waves his hand as if to dismiss Otoha's question and focuses on petting Minea instead of looking at the other man.
Minea turned and meowed at Otoha as if to say 'he's lying' She knew her master better than anyone and she knew his habit of shrugging off his own problems.]
It's fine, Otoha~ I'm not about to pass out or anything~
no subject
[He's vaguely aware he's starting to sound a little hypocritical, but whatever.]
Don't be an idiot. It's not like you don't have people who aren't willing. Me, for example.
no subject
The blood packs....how-?
[He cut himself off. It didn't really matter. What mattered was what Otoha was suggesting.
When he glanced over, his expression had hardened and his tone was cooler than he'd ever used on anyone in Vatheon other than Crowley.]
I don't care that you or anyone else are willing. You think that makes it any better that I have to poke holes in your skin and drink the very thing that keeps you alive!?
There's a reason I don't drink from people, Otoha. And if I don't want to drink from strangers than I certainly don't want to drink from friends.
[He'd done the 'only drink from willing victims' thing once, and he'd found it distasteful then, too.]
no subject
[Oh, good. Anger. Anger he can deal with.]
I don't want to see you sick or worse, dammit. Stop being an idiot. You've drank from me before and it ended up fine. Even if you go overboard, I'll come back. I can't feel pain, so it's not like you'll hurt me. And it's not like I'm losing blood in fights like I used to.
[He grins suddenly.]
Or would you rather I kill some locals and drop them off for you? I could do that, too.
no subject
He closed the distance between them, disregarding Otoha's personal space again, as if doing so would make him understand better, somehow.]
You're right, there are people who would offer to be my meals if I let them. A long time before I drank from you, I drank from Jacob. I was weaker then than I've been since and he found me passed out in my apartment.
He nearly died because of me! The one person- [He cut himself off, suddenly realizing what he was about to admit to, and his voice lowered, though the edge was still in it.]
...the reason I didn't kill him was because I could tell he was in pain and I had lost control.
[And then the edge was gone, replaced with exhaustion and sadness.] I don't want to do that to you or anyone else.
no subject
I don't care if I die. I don't care if you hurt me. I don't care about any of that. Will you let me actually care about someone else for once in my life? Reiji didn't know what he was getting into, even though he was my best friend. He was more like a kid brother than anything else. You know what you're getting into. And I know what I'm getting into in return.
[Why does he feel like this? When did this even start?]
You're my friend. So let me care about you. Or would you rather get so hungry that you attack anything that moves or something? Because friend or not if that sort of thing starts happening too often I will have to kill you.
no subject
Which is why he fell back on 'I'm an unworthy monster' and set up a proverbial wall.
A wall he helped to establish by stepping away from the human and putting his hands behind his head so he couldn't see him. As if he didn't care about any of this.]
Heeey~ Now there's an idea~ You're right, you should just kill me, Otoha. No need to drink blood then, and the bubble would be down one more dangerous monster~
And then, like Prometheus, we could have the same date every five days, hmmm~?
no subject
[He then lets go of him and takes a few steps back, as if nothing happened at all.]
no subject
He's silent until the pain subsides into a dull ache.]
...I guess that's a 'no,' then. [His voice is quiet and even he can hear how pathetic and vulnerable he sounds.
Why did people have to care? He didn't understand.]
Otoha...please. [Don't make him do this.]
no subject
[He kneels down and reaches out to Johnny, tousling his hair gently.]
I just want to help. I don't want to see you sick.
no subject
For god-only-knew what reason, they cared about him, worries about him, when no one else had in centuries. They were his family. He loved them, didn't want to hurt them, and how did he repay them? By hurting them and being a constant danger to their lives just by being around them.
Otoha wasn't wrong, if Johnny kept this up, one day he'd either collapse somewhere or go crazy with bloodlust.]
[He could feel his eyes stinging. He ran the back of his hand across them in an attempt to make them stop, but it only grew worse and he was soon aware that his face was wet.]
[Otoha considered him a friend, was worried, and offering to feed Johnny and Johnny had responded with some stupid, suicidal, jab. Why? This was why things had gone wrong with Charely, Johnny always said stupid things that just pissed people off.]
...I'm sorry. I-I know.
[Why did he make that deal with Belial so long ago? Now he was a monster. Adam cursed to wander, disillusioned and, essentially, alone because he'd messed up.]
...you win.
no subject
Hey. Don't cry. You'll be okay, as long as you stop being so dumb sometimes. Just... come here. Let me help you.
no subject
Just.....promise me that if I'm taking too much or...if, at any point, I loose control on you or anyone, you won't hesitate to stop me.
I don't want to hurt anyone.
no subject
[He pulls away for a minute to shrug off his trenchcoat, leaving him in a black t-shirt.]
Wherever works best for you.
no subject
Minea.
[The cat --who'd been watching with a little bit of satisfaction the whole time-- perked her ears and jumped off the couch, changed into a maid, and wandered off into the kitchen only to come back with a handtowel, which she gave to Johnny.]
Thanks.
[Johnny slipped the towel just under the top of Otoha's shirt, around the area where neck met shoulder, and pushed on the man's shoulder.]
You should lean back against something so you're more comfortable.
no subject
Come on. Dinner's ready.
no subject
Very funny.
[He leaned forward, one hand braced on Otoha's shoulder while the other wrapped around the back of his neck as Johnny's fangs broke through skin. The blood that escaped past Johnny's lips was caught by the towel before it could get to Otoha's shirt, just as the vampire had hoped it would.]

no subject
He pushed the thought from his mind and concentrated on how much blood he was taking. When he felt he'd had enough to last him a little while longer, he pulled his teeth out and licked the wound, watching to make sure it closed before removing the towel.]
That's enough.
...thank you.
no subject
[He kept his movements slow, easy, and grabbed his coat, shrugging it on. He reached out and ruffled Johnny's hair.]
Don't wait until you're really hungry again next time.
[He smiled slightly, and blinked hard, trying to shove the dizziness away.]
no subject
Johnny reached out and grabbed Otoha's elbow, tugging on it slightly.]
Don't try to go home like this. Stay here for the night, I've got the room...and if you really want to go home, at least let me take you.
no subject
[And if he got attacked in this state it'd be harder to defend himself, anyway.]
no subject
Good~
Come on, the spare room's this way.
[He took Otoha's hand and pulled him in the direction of the other bedroom; empty since Rayfell had left.]
Do you need anything?
no subject
Not really? Just some rest I guess.
[Never mind that he had slept pretty much all day. He could sleep some more.]
no subject
All right. Just let me or Minea know if you change your mind~
[He leaned up and pressed a small kiss to Otoha's cheek before turning on his heel and walking back out with a wave.]
Sleep well, sir knight~
